I've been wondering what his intentions are in that regard...

I heard it months ago from a respected commentator who probably would not want it attributed to him now. However, it stuck with me -- and this was before I knew that Trump & Hill were friends and their daughters are BFFs. It just so happens that when Trump entered the race he immediately dispatched the two candidates most likely to give Hill a run for her money: Jeb (name recognition, acceptance) and Scott Walker (Koch $, Repub enthusiasm). He went after them ruthlessly and they just folded.

He threw an occasional softball at Hill, and I was wondering why he never went after Bernie. But now, Bernie is more viable than ever. So it will be interesting to see what Trump says.

he wants to run against her but there have been so many times when Clinton has had a problem and Trump comes to the rescue.

Though he is REALLY going after Bernie now.

This is a sign that Trump is thinking Hillary might not make it to the nom.

He would ignore Sanders otherwise as he did 3 weeks back when Sanders called him out (Feb 22).

OR
that he has sufficiently destroyed the Republicans for Hillary and now he wants to take out Sanders for her.

The people who know him best have been wondering why he ran as a Republican for a while now.

Others have some very interesting opinions.

says any four-word sentence that forms in his orange head, in a secret alliance with Hillary and they together have duped both major political parties, the MSM, all of us, ....

Most times the obvious explanation is the correct one: Trump has a huge ego, loves attention, loves seeing his name on stuff and is in this thing for TRUMP. He is running as a Republican because he is one.

GOP brokered convention. They pull the nomination away from Drumpf and give it to Paul Ryan or someone of his ilk. Drumpf takes the stage and leads his jack-booted followers in the nazi salute while they pledge allegiance to his newest BFF, HRC, whom h has just endorsed for President during his concession speech.

Neither are shrinking violets, but only one has an obvious, evident, easily-recalled command of the facts. Bloodbath...

that Trump would lose his mind trying to fight on Bernies terms. Bernie can be unflappable. It would be very interesting and very one sided if one wants facts.
