Just asking.....
Is the Independent base now bigger than the democrats and the republicans?
The model is old we are using, and it makes the numbers meaningless for a general. I keep hearing dems say the indy's don't matter. Such ignorance.

4. Pollster: Party ID (Current)-D: 36.5 I: 30.6 R: 28.1
in every General Elections the trend is for Independents to trend back to the Party they lean to. Democrats are at about their highest point since the months after Obama's inaguration

6. I tend to dismiss the opinion of pundits and pollsters as being too much self defense
I would say that we are dealing with numerous black swan events since and including the financial crash. They have shown that their perception and understanding of events is not as comprehensive or accurate as they believe.
Perhaps if those signifigant opinion makers had to trade places with the person cleaning their office, or the pollsters weighted theirdat by who they had access to, things might look a bit different. |

8. I think many left indies
came into the Democratic fold burring the Bush years.
We had HOPEd that Obama would put us on the path to better CHANGE. With the current front runner, many of us see that left momentum being reversed. The end result? ![]() |
