Look, it's going to come down to Cali, where Bernie will have to win 70-80%. We can do it!

Cali will not let us down when they see what they can accomplish with their vote.

Medicare & college for every American!

Our jobs brought back from overseas!

And so much more!

It's going to happen, people!

Have a great day!

does appear to involve sarcasm, I just wanted to point out that favorite group is not always accurate measure.

If you look at the OPs journal, it contradicts your assumption:

Answer, the closest was favorite son Jerry Brown in 1976, and he got less than 60%. You seriously imagine that in a State as diverse as California you can keep Clinton to 20%?

Mo Udall and Frank Church got another 12 points worth of liberal votes. So the "liberal wing" arguably got 71+.

But yeah, no way Bernie gets 80.

I have an admittedly ridiculously optimistic scenario for Sanders at http://demrace.com/?share=GH4zWRsT - I gave him CA with 72 (and I gave him every upcoming contest except for New Jersey, New Mexico, and DC).

DWS did not want new voters voting because statistically it was a advantage to Sanders. So DNC has not done a dam thing nationally or locally in most states to GOTV. So the people who have been screaming "Defeat Trump" as reason we much pick Hillary have risked the GE to win the primary by not having a GOTV drives, just to keep any advantage Clinton has in the primaries.

California is not WV or Indiana or Michigan. Yes there are lots of peeps here with mixed-up ideas acquired via "social media" and the rest of the noise machine but most of the state is Dem and most of us know the score. And if adjustments are needed in the final hours there are surrogates aplenty who will do what they need to do.

Yep anything is possible but I don't see it happening either. I imagine Sanders knows this which raises the question of what he thinks he's accomplishing by staying in and taking time and attention and money away from the November races, and there are hundreds if not thousands of them nationwide? The kindest reason I can come up with is that he's still feeling the bern from the debates and settling the score. But there's gotta be more to it than that.

There is nothing out there that is pushing people to reject their current Congress-critter. Gerrymandering has screwed us until 2022 unless if Trump is elected President and the country goes to hell. Then we might have a chance in 2018.
