Senior Japanese Government Official Predicts Clinton Will Change Stance On TPP If Elected...

I Guess Technically She Would Be Changing It "BACK"? Hard To Keep Track Of The Lies...

http://the-japan-news.com/news/article/0003001897

Some Japanese government officials have expressed positive expectations regarding Hillary Clinton, who is highly likely to be named the Democratic Party’s nominee in the U.S. presidential election.

Regarding trade, Clinton had promoted the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) free trade agreement while secretary of state, but she has changed her stance to opposition to the TPP. She seems to be paying consideration to labor unions, which are support bases for the Democratic Party.

A senior Japanese government official predicted that Clinton “will change her stance again to supporting the TPP if she becomes president.” But it is a source of concern for Japan.

6. Winners are allowed their opportunity to deliver the goods in a

"functioning democracy". Losers can do all the second guessing their little hearts desire, and if their predictions should prove to be correct, they are free to say "I told you so".

Hillary will not put her second term in jeopardy by giving the green light to the TPP in its present form.

12. Sounds like something Trump would say

Seriously, I am in this country because of "foreigners," and I suspect, so are you. You sound just like Donald Trump and his tirades against Mexicans being criminals. For you, foreigners are liars and you know this even if you don't know them because some woman who is known to have lied about many things is now running for president. You have lost your ability to think, but at the very least, you should think before you write. Your post is offensive Shame on you.

Her American supporters or Japanese officials? Time will tell. Maybe she'll support it after a few minor changes, and then both groups can claim victory.

She has said this over 2 years now, including in her last book.

This time around, even knowing I was going to support Hillary up front, I still did my research on Bernie and OMalley. Good ideas come from everywhere, and had one of them prevailed, I wouldn't have to wonder what their policies as POTUS would be.

That is concerning, as any minor concession could be used as justification for a change of public position.

34. So the only thing mentioned there is a 'concern' about some of the ISDS language.

She doesn't say what the end goal should be there, whether we need to nix all of that or whether she would support a TPP with only minor concessions.

Furthermore, that is before she came out against the TPP, so I can't see how the video can possibly address the topic at hand.

What do you think she means by workers rights? If you'd been paying attention to her statements on this over the years you would know she wants workers rights to unionize in the agreement.

Instead of informing yourself you criticize. Sad.

43. On Bill & NAFTA...

Henry Kissinger, Hillary Clinton’s Tutor in War and Peace

(During debate), Clinton once again praised a man with a lot of blood on his hands.

By Greg Grandin
The Nation, Feb. 5, 2016

EXCERPT...

As first lady, Hillary Clinton spent the early months of her husband’s administration drafting healthcare-reform legislation, only to see it put on the back burner by the North American Free Trade Agreement. Kissinger, in his role as a global consultant, had played a critical role in bringing the various parties who would write that trade treaty together during the previous George H.W. Bush administration. Kissinger continued his NAFTA advocacy with Bill Clinton. As Jeff Faux writes in his excellent The Global Class War, Kissinger was “the perfect tutor” for Clinton, who was “trying to convince Republicans and their business allies that they could count on him to champion Reagan’s vision.”

By September 1993, Hillary’s healthcare bill was ready to be presented to the public and to Congress. But so was NAFTA. All of Kissinger’s allies in the White House, including Mack McLarty, who would soon join Kissinger Associates, pushed Clinton to prioritize NAFTA over healthcare. Clinton did. It was Kissinger who came up with the idea of having past presidents stand behind Clinton as he signed the treaty. Reagan was sick and Nixon still non grata, but “flanked by former presidents Bush, Carter and Ford at a White House ceremony, Mr. Clinton delivers an impassioned speech,” The Wall Street Journal reported. No such presidential backdrop was assembled to help support Hillary Clinton’s healthcare proposal. By August 1994, healthcare was dead.
