2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumHillary's Likeability
All of her unfavorable numbers are spouted in the media, yet it seems the media et. al. seem to forget that she had a 60% approval rating in 2012 after leaving her position as secretary of state. I also believe she went 10 years or so as being the MOST ADMIRED WOMAN IN THE WORLD. Once it seemed she was going to run, she has dealt with a 24/7 republican-backed media that has vilified her every day and scrutinized the most trivial of things to make it appear that there is a never-ending "scandal." Its hard to Believe that Benghazi took place 4 years ago and was used by Mitt Romney first against Obama, then Susan Rice, then, Hillary. It's absurd.
-As an aside, I wonder why Democrats have yet to counter with the fact that 13 seperate consulates were attacked during the Bush administration.
IMO its further absurd to think that any politician would have high favorability ratings during a climate where congress itself has a record 90% disapproval rating.

(3,335 posts)by all the crap that they post on the web about her. If it anything like it is here, she's lucky to be where she is. But I'm glad that she is.

(5,191 posts)Talk about rationalization of why poll numbers are low! If she can't beat the imbacile, Donald Trump, she deserves to lose!

(2,542 posts)I read an article this morning, which I can't find now, that showed how her popularity rises when she's working, but drops when she's campaigning. It's as if America punishes her for asking for more responsibility, but then loves her when she gets it and starts working.
