Ceiling.

I suspect if it comes down to that the President may just exercise the 14th amendment. I also suspect if that happens the republicans will impeach him and the Senate won't convict, just in time for the 2014 elections, and. The republicans will pay the price for this insanity.

If government was shutdown for 20 days under Gingrich, I'd double it or triple it for the current GOPers. Though I don't envision a scenario where they don't cave and pass a clean spending bill........eventually. What really sucks is that we're probably going to have a repeat of this same battle for the next few months, if not the rest of Obama's Presidency.

The teabaggers don't understand the resolve of our side. They really think the ACA is just something that Democrats woke up one day and decided would be a neat idea to pass and now regret it. The fact of the matter is that Democrats have been trying to get some kind of universal health care passed since the Truman Administration. The ACA may not be ideal (far from it) but it will, for the most part, put an end to people in the richest country on earth dying from lack of health coverage.

They don't seem to understand that no matter how much they wave around anecdotes about peoples' work weeks being reduced to 29 hours, the ACA is just as much of a moral imperative for us to maintain as it is for them to get rid of. But the difference is that we won in 2012 and they lost. Obama does not have to run for re-election, they do.

In all likelihood that won't happen. What will happen is 17 or more of them will go to Boehner and tell him that they're going to do that if he doesn't bring a clean CR to the floor and he will have no choice but to do it.

Technically it will be won on a technicality after the masked luchador known only as Boehner, el bandido anaranjado is unable to continue after Barack "The Chicago Crippler" Obama takes his knees out with the ladder before deploying his finishing move "The Continuing Resolution", a figure-four leg lock performed while playing The Star-Spangled Banner on a red, white and blue kazoo. With the masked orange heel unable to get up, the Crippler easily scales the ladder and retrieves the belt. Afterward, Obama belts Boehner with the belt in the mouth for good measure.

In the under-card tag team match, Joe "I'm handsome for a nearly 70 year old man" Biden and his tag-team partner Obamacare put a beating on the title challengers Mitch "I have turtle powers" McConnell and Ted "I'm not even an American" Cruz...The Republican Obstructionists, before Biden pins Cruz after leveling him with the one-handed off-the-ropes choke-slam into the concrete floor known as the "The Debt Ceiling Negotiation."

(I have a rich fantasy life.)

There are many people in America who live paycheck to paycheck. Any delay is not acceptable!

Now we will have our parks and public lands full of poachers & illegal campers with no one watching out for them.
