Enough is Enough

Last edited Fri Nov 1, 2013, 01:59 PM - Edit history (1)

Disableded of this do nothing nation. Everyone is looking for a hand out. No one feels they need to be productive for the greater good of the nation. We need to stop subsidizing everyone’s living expenses.

Well, there is the exception of the 5000 active duty/ military personal with families who are working hard but earn so little that they need food stamps to make it through the month. OK, they are forgiven for their withdrawal from the national bank. This does not excuse the 1.5 million veterans that use the available free veteran’s administration health care system and the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program – SNAP is another way of saying Government Handout!

What about the other parasites living off of this nation? For instance, there are those elderly! My mother is an example. That 94 year old woman hasn’t work in years! Why does she deserve a social security check? She was a postmaster for years and then she earned her keep but now she is like all the 37 million senior citizens get that free government money. OK –even with the SS money, many of those seniors still live below the poverty line. …and yes, I know my mother paid into it for years with her hard earned money but hey, our nation needs that money! Many seniors need to take themselves off their extended vacations called “retirement” and do something to get back into the habit of working if they want to eat. I could retire but I plan on working until I drop!

And oh that “disabled” group! 8.9 million (Yes I said MILLION!) people sitting at home, checking the mailbox for that government handout. Come on! These people need to stop their bellyaching! I’ve worked when I wasn’t feeling well, when I had a cold, sore muscles, headaches and little sleep. There have been days when I’ve had all these problems at once and yet I went to work. Why is someone’s damaged heart, chronic pain, failed eyesight, thyroid malfunction, missing limbs or organs any more important than my sinuses? LOAFERS! GET UP AND JOIN THE WORK FORCE.

Think about all the money this nation spends on providing a free education to millions of kids, child supplement payments, free school meals, health care for the uninsured, etc. WE ARE WASTING MONEY HERE! We need to offer 4 year olds an intelligence test that will determine which children will grow up to be future leaders. Limit our financial assistance to those few and not spend money sending everyone to school. The rest of these freeloaders need to GET A JOB! Start training them now. Yes it may give us a larger illiterate group of citizens as time goes on but half of these kids are not going to be productive citizens of our society anyway. (…and think about how this group of laborers will increase as the government continues to work at limiting women’s access to quality health care and contraception). They could be contributing to their living expenses instead of draining our reserves. I know it’s not a popular stance to take but think about the boost to our nation’s financial situation if 16 million poverty stricken children no longer received benefits.

FACTS? Who needs facts?
• 76% of SNAP households included a child, an elderly person, or a disabled person. These vulnerable households receive 83% of all SNAP benefits.
• The average SNAP household has a gross monthly income of $744; net monthly income of $338 after the standard deduction and, for certain households, deductions for child care, medical expenses, and shelter costs; and countable resources of $331, such as a bank account.[iii]
• SNAP benefits don’t last most participants the whole month. 90% of SNAP benefits are redeemed by the third week of the month, and 58% of food bank clients currently receiving SNAP benefits turn to food banks for assistance at least 6 months out of the year
• The average monthly SNAP benefit per person is $133.85, or less than $1.50 per person, per meal.
