Why can't MSNBC cover anything but the doomed plane that crashed near Jamaica?

With all that's happening in the world, it's embarrassing our media does not seem capable of covering more than one story at a time---and while tragic for the family of the pilot and his wife, it is not the only thing happening in the world today.

The President acquitted himself very well at the NATO press conference today speaking about the formation of a coalition to tackle ISIL, the cease fire that was reached in the Ukraine between the government and the Pro-Russian rebels in Eastern Ukraine. And, the leader of Al Shabab was confirmed dead.

Luckily, Directv carries Aljazeera. It has great news coverage. They reported on the doomed plane, and when it was found to have gone down--but did not dwell on it.

Like a scene right out of Anchorman 2.

However I am very sorry for the loss of life today and my thoughts are with the family. Hopefully they can prevent this in the future.

and the Keystone pipeline right now. However, yes the shows before him seemed delighted to not have to cover the news because of the airplane crash.

When there's a huge breaking story, they milk it for all its worth for a few days (sometimes an entire week or two). That's why I tune in only to hear about stuff that I haven't already, and that's it. Who wants to watch the same stuff repeatedly?
