2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forum12:15 EDT: Anyone else see Chuck Todd and Andrea Mitchell just now?
I think I heard them mumble that turnout is very high, then rush on to say that that doesn't mean anything, and we should all wait until the votes get counted tonight.

(86,328 posts)that smells pretty fishy. I suspect that some form of manipulation is taking place but I haven't been able to identify just exactly what it is... could be an array of things taht aren't good for the nation. I am highly suspicious of what we will be hearing over the next several hours.
Like John Prine once said, "...Blow up your TeeVee..."

(36,286 posts)could tell me if I heard what I thought I heard. It sounded like someone has seen some exit polling that doesn't match up with the narrative of an anti-Obama, Republican Senate.

(136 posts)I've heard reports of heavy (or above-average) minority turnout in Georgia and some polling places in Kentucky.
Here's a link to a report of minority turnout in Kentucky:

Any other DUers out there with turnout information today?

(18,402 posts)Although it's a little hard to tell: starting this year, we got a new polling place, just for our precinct. Before, we voted at a large union hall that accommodated 4 different precincts together.
That said, we went at a dead time (about a quarter to 11 this morning), and there were quite a few people streaming in and at the voting booths. The workers said it had been steady all morning. It was a heck of a lot busier than during the March primaries, where we were the only ones in the place!!

(324 posts)I voted about 11 and there were very few people there I live in New York and a liberal district so my vote doesn't count as much as people in key races. I hope we win. I know New York will remain blue

(5,038 posts)The lame stream media has been trying to sell a TeaPublican wave for months but the facts just don't fit the film-flam they are trying to sell.
These two looked like making things up as they went along.

(29,616 posts)I knew all the workers, and asked about turn out, and they said it was high, can't remember the presidential election number I was, but the poll workers did say turn out is high this time around.
