Passed my mammogram with flying colors!

It's been 5 years since in was diagnosed with Lobular Carcinoma in Situ and had my lumpectomy. My nurse called this morning with the good news, I now get to wait 2 years for my next mammogram just like women who have not had breast cancer. Just had to share.

Glad you shared the good news. I know the feeling of the weight being lifted. With me, I cried when I got the 'all clear' for my endo cancer. I didn't think it would effect me that much.

...for my wife to feel even back to somewhat normal after her hysterectomy but we had a bit of a party. It will be two years in July since the surgery. Her oncological gynecologist said she needs to return for oncological check ups for 10 years.

Surviving is a win, enjoying life again is the reward.

with removal of my ovaries after the LCIS diagnosis as LCIS is a hormone fed cancer. Being thrown immediately into menopause is a horrible experience as I'm sure you and your wife know. I'm so glad to hear of your wife's success story and yes, survival is a win, cheers to both of you.

When you beaten a killer, consider yourself a warrior.
When you've won and killed no one else in the process, consider yourself the ultimate warrior.

Warriors are treasured because of bravery, determination and their consistent positive attitude.
It's the only way.
