Facebook Still Doesn’t Consider Rape Jokes To Be Hate Speech

Thanks to RedQuen for bringing this topic up. This post continues the story of the fight using pictures and FB responses.its worth noting that Sheryl Sandberg, CEO of FB and of "Lean In" fame has not weighed in on this topic

The #FBrape hashtag is currently petitioning brands to put pressure on Facebook to remove images promoting rape and sexual assault. WARNING: This post contains graphic content.

Facebook has reversed their original decision to leave some of these disgusting images up.

They want that to be enough, but this is about more than removing individual images. They need a policy which ensures that hate speech against women will no longer be protected by branding it "humor".

...I assume we are talking about tasteful pictures of a mom breastfeeding their babies, yes? And they are banning those? I would bet you can see more skin with a woman in a bikini than a mom modestly feeding her baby.

BTW- I love the add where they show the first time mom breastfeeding and she is completely covered up with what looks like a blanket. And then when the second baby comes along she just pulls down the blouse and lets the baby latch on while saying to the waiter "My eyes are up here"
