Feminism just a needle and thread away
If it can take weeks to knit a scarf, consider how much work goes into creating a knitted piece which could fill a modest-sized living room.
Kate Just's mother taught her how to knit while she was in her mid-20s, after the unexpected death of her younger brother.
The craft was something that brought them closer together.
"It was kind of a way we could just be together when we really couldn't say anything that would make either of us feel better," she says.
"Then I immediately felt like I would never knit clothes again, that I would really only knit artwork."
Her large-scale installations and sculptures can take anywhere from a few months to a year to create.
Some of her works called 'skins' look like knitted female bodies which have been drained of their insides.
