I've Listened To A Number Of Progressive Radio Call In Shows Today And....

most calls throughout the programs were very positive, very pro Bernie. However, each show ended with a pro-Hillary caller saying it is incumbent on the part of Bernie supporters to vote for her when (not if) she wins the nomination. They invoke SCOTUS and they are holding that over the Bernie supporters - just waiting to blame them should Hillary not win - if she's the nominee. It was almost like that they planned it that way to end with a pro-Hillary caller.

I call that extortion. Sorry but that's the way I see it. I'll make my decision in November - but them holding that over us now is simply uncalled for. They are making no conciliatory attempt to reach out to Bernie supporters - only making excuses for a Hillary loss.

If Hillary becomes the nominee and she loses - she only has herself to blame. She keeps shooting herself in her foot when she makes statements like the 'coal' statement or that she will put Bill in charge of the 'economy'. How stupid. Let alone that she has an impending FBI interview coming up and possible indictment to boot.

No - they are not going to blame Bernie. Bernie has told them that he runs stronger against Trump. But he's not establishment and the DNC and TPTB don't want him as President. They want Hillary - cause they know that they can count on her to keep the status quo. So they will shoulder the blame along with Hillary herself - if Trump wins the WH.

Scare and guilt threats rarely work especially as they become worn over time.

Mostly it fails because it demands that I fix someone else's anxiety for their candidate. Frankly, I can't fix other people's anxiety. I can, however, be a target for their frustration. I have no doubt they will make that so.

More to the point, polling evidence suggests that if we want to beat Trump and avoid his potential to -nominate- Justices, then HRC isn't the place that vote is most likely to work.

But, if Dems actually want to control the confirmation process, forget Hillery. DEMS MUST ELECT MORE SENATORS!!

I never hear HRC supporters mention that an HRC presidency's potential to appoint Justices will be counfounded by a republican senate. Why is that? IMO it's because -reality- doesn't favor their shame filled coercion of others.

First, when a Democratic President has a Republican and Cass Sunstein on his short list for SCOTUS nominees for almost eight years, that vitiates the Supreme Court threat by quite a bit.

So does nominating a DINO, like the Obama's most recent nominee.

Second, nominating someone is only half the battle. The nominee still has to get through the Senate--and it takes only 41 Democrats to stop a bad guy. Republicans nominated Scalia, Thomas, Alito and Roberts, pro-lifers to a man, but Democrats helped confirm them. Other Republicans have been not so bad to great, such as Kennedy, who has saved our bacon a number of times, Souter, who was dang good and Stevens, before whom I'd glad genuflect (or curtsey, his choice).

The independents do not like her, so her only chance is if they stay home, and ALL of the Bernistas vote for her.
I got news for her. It ain't gonna happen!
I will vote for Dems all down the ticket, but if Hilliary is the candidate, she shall not get my vote.
Not after what she said about the Rayguns and AIDS. That made it personal, and family is thicker than political pals.
Sorry Hilliary, NEVER shall you get my vote EVER!

I am certain that she will not even take her "home" state of NY, as most New Yorkers do not like her. I am not talking Democrats, I am talking independents and Republicans. Many of them actually like Bernie over Drumpf, but given the choice between Drumpf and Hilliary, and most of them would stay home. I can only speak for my state of NY, and what I hear from people here in the Hudson Valley. But I am pretty sure that this echoes throughout the state.
