2020 presidential candidate Joe Biden sparred with Axios over Hunter Biden, but promised restrictions on family members conducting business overseas if he is elected president.

“No one is going to be seeking patents from China,” Biden told Axios’ Mike Allen in an interview, alluding to a recent business deal of Ivanka Trump. Ivanka currently holds an administration role in President Donald Trump’s White House alongside husband Jared Kushner.

“[My family] will not be engaged in any foreign business because of what’s happened in this administration,” Biden said of his family if he wins office in 2020. “If you want to talk about problems, let’s talk about Trump’s family.”

But he did also spar with Allen when questioned about Hunter’s business in Ukraine.

using their personal emails and Trump server for government and personal emails, Vankie even deleted government emails and it made just the tiniest blip in the news. They ignore the Trump kids and their business contracts with foreign powers and harp on Hunter where it's been proven he did nothing wrong. I don't expect them to change. Do you?

He seemed only a tad bit frustrated about being asked about Hunter but he is also correct (as is the previous poster) that the media should be talking about Ivanka, Jared, Don-Don-Jr, and Little Eric and their foreign dealings while Daddy has taken over our White House.

Allen grew up in Orange County, California. His father was conservative writer Gary Allen, a spokesman for the John Birch Society, He described his household as normal and 'apolitical', in considerable contrast to his father's flamboyant public persona as a conservative icon, who once denounced rock music as a "Pavlovian Communist mind-control plot" and wrote speeches for George Wallace.[1][3][4] Allen is an Eagle Scout.

Oh this is interesting..

Allen has attracted criticism for focusing coverage on superficial aspects of politics and of the culture of Washington D.C.[9][1] In November 2013, The Washington Post wrote a lengthy article detailing a payola scandal in which Allen would give favorable Politico coverage in return for advertising dollars.[10] Mr. Allen has refused to publicly comment.[11] Jonathan Chait described Politico's response as 'evasive tripe'.[12] Writing in Salon, Alex Pareene described his work as "indistinguishable from a paid advocate for business interests."[13]

Yeah, I hadn't been keeping up with Mike Allen.. the last I knew he was with politico.. I've seen tweets referencing axios but haven't paid much attention.

Why? It's not an issue in the first place. The Republicans are trying to make it an issue, but there is no issue, really.

And yet, we keep seeing posts like this. Why is that, Joe? Please explain your fascination with Hunter Biden.
