Biden Plans a Counterattack at Trump as Impeachment Tensions Rise

“Look, it’s simple,” he continued. “They’re smearing me to try to stop me, and they know if I’m the nominee, I’m going to beat Donald Trump like a drum.”
The Biden campaign has long hoped that, in the final days before the caucuses, Iowans will grow more intensely attuned to arguments about electability. In recent weeks, Mr. Biden’s own argument on that front has been squeezed, especially by Senator Amy Klobuchar, a moderate Minnesota Democrat, as well as by Senator Bernie Sanders of Vermont, a democratic socialist who has gained traction in the race, as the Biden campaign has privately acknowledged to donors.
In the speech, his campaign said, Mr. Biden plans to remind voters that Mr. Trump must be defeated in order to make progress on issues like health care, gun violence, climate change and how America is viewed on the world stage. And he will speak about the nature of the country, as he has done on the campaign trail this week in Iowa, where he has repeatedly declared that “character is on the ballot.”

1. Trump has no comeback for "character matters."

He has no moral vocabulary or standing, so no way to respond on this point.

14. The independents, though

Dotard won doing that and a lot of people unfortunately still buy into it, even subconsciously.

5. I think it's valid that Joe

uses the metaphor of a drum.

Classy but still with a bit of threat as perceived by the mobster on the receiving end.

7. It's not classy

Educated people who paid attention in writing class don’t speak in cliches.

He was caught plagiarizing, which shows his lack of originality.

He is not what America needs now.

gawd, that's an odd reply. Wonder how many voters took writing classes. LOL.

Think Bernie ever plagiarized anything? (think before you answer.)

12. It might interest you that

as teachers, we are told that our purpose is to educate citizens to speak out, both for writing and public speaking classes. I have degrees in both areas and have taught for decades. One public speaking class that I taught for over a decade in NJ is called "Speech Communication as Critical Citizenship." This is at a public university.

Even if voters only completed a high school education, they were taught writing classes and what constitutes plagiarism.

I would like to pin down your question: is your plagiarism example for Bernie something that he personally wrote? And you know this for a fact? And did he, perchance, admit it? I'm sure he didn't admit it to the extent Biden did (he resigned a presidential bid in 1987 over delivering speeches that he copied from others). We are sure Biden did it and is personally responsible because he said so.

So the question is: is your plagiarism example for Bernie something that he personally wrote?

Sorry, I found one reply in this thread so tone deaf and hysterical it is now my new go-to catch phrase.

"anti-intellectual." It's a phase a society goes through as it devolves. Congratulations on playing a part.

(I knew I'd really need that sarcasm indicator. Otherwise you'd probably go around with a puffed up head all day! )
