Even if initially Sanders get most of the votes in a caucus,

the other attendees, especially the ones whose candidates are not viable, should be able to unite behind a moderate and win the caucus.

John Heilemann, on Nicole Wallace, said that if Sanders win Iowa and NH and, perhaps Nevada, the donor class will get behind Bloomberg.

And Steve Schmidt said that once acquitted, Trump will be the most powerful man in the country. Ever. He will be able to do what he wants. If he can demand an investigation from a foreign power, what would stop him to get the FBI or the IRS to investigate anyone in the country? The Republicans have abdicated their guardianship of the checks and balance and it is up to the Democrats to restore the balance.

But, he said, a capitalist psychopath will beat a socialist any day of the week and twice on a Tuesday.

5. It was fair last time and he didn't win.

It will be fair again this time. Maybe he will get a better result.

Bernie lost for two reasons in 2016. First, he got clobbered among minorities. Second, a lot of voters didn't want to vote for someone who took the label socialist.

Perhaps the voters will feel differently in 2020. We will see.

11. He won 22 primaries and caucuses last time, and started with nothing.
Mon Feb 3, 2020, 08:04 PM
Feb 2020

In a little over a year, with his individual donors and supporters, actively competed in every primary and caucus, winning 22. This time he didn't start with nothing, he had a war chest and support from grassroots organizations. The rules have changed in his favor, and he is likely to build the momentum to put him over the top as attacks and smears are thrown at him from the left and the right. He doesn't need a donor class, he doesn't need Republican strategists like Schmidt to believe in him. All he needs are the people.

He can win if he gets the most votes, just like everyone else.

He did well last time. We will have to see how he does this time.

For the record, his 22 contests last time were a combination of primaries and caucuses. He may not win some of those caucus states now that they are holding primaries instead. Then again, he may do better in some places and win the primary in some of the states he lost last time.

6. Bernie doesn't need the donor class, That's sounds like Republican Steve Schmidt has a problem
Mon Feb 3, 2020, 07:48 PM

with the monster he and his ilk created and covered for. I don't have a single fuck to give what any Republican think much less a republican campaign strategist like Schmidt thinks. Trumps their problem now. They either put him on a leash or shove their opinions where most of them have their heads, right up Trumps ass.

One of the reasons for Sanders (and Warrens') popularity is because there is a perception that some Democratic circles care too much about what the donor class thinks. Those same interests turned on Warren when it appeared she was about to become the frontrunner last summer.

I think the reason Bernie has weathered it better is because he has been building commitment amongst his supporters since 2015, and he tends to meet the criticisms head-on rather than retreat from it.

And, Obama is a Democrat, proudly ran as a Democrat. Sanders is playing games and strings his supporters along, again. And, again if he is not the nominees, many of his supporters will abandon the party.
