My wife has decided to go with Klobuchar...

Really impressed with her speech last night and at today’s event.

I’m sticking with Pete.

We’ll both fall back to Bloomberg.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

Right now it’s Bloomberg and then Amy. No number three in mind.

I'm worried that Klobuchar is basically playing spoiler for the other moderate candidates out there. I'm hoping she falters in the next couple of states and drops out before Super Tuesday, because I don't see her really mounting a competitive bid for the nomination, but I do think she has just enough support to really handicap the other moderates that may actually have a shot of winning.

I would hope that at the latest after Super Tuesday that group would unite behind one of them

Ideally before Super Tuesday

12. It will be after Super Tuesday

Because of Bloomberg.

But Sanders appears to have a much lower ceiling then I had thought. At least for this cycle with Trump looming. Even with half of Warren added it seems around 30% that isn't nearly enough. Even after Super Tuesday nobody is likely to have much more then 12% of the delegates needed to get the nomination. That could be a lead but hardly an intimidating one.

Plenty of time for consolidation.

But as far as Klobuchar, let me give you something to think about. The interchanges between Amy and Bernie have had a wonderful undertow of respect and warmth. That could be very important come the general. Heck she had Michal Moore singing her praises in the post debate spin.

In this case I tend to agree with your wife that Pete might have an electability problem, unfortunately I think because of the homophobia that is still prevalent in the country

I’d love to see either her or Warren go up against the dark one. His misogyny is based in a deep fear of strong and intelligent women. I think either one of them would get under his skin more than other candidates

He has the advantage in the swing states and the support of the AA community and other people of color.

For me, that's formidable.

The same from a group of friends recently (in a post debate discussion this weekend). Every single one of them will vote for whomever is on the Democratic ticket in November, but five of them recently mentioned their decision (in addition to mine) in an online conversation. The other two voices in the group said they were hoping to vote for Sanders and Warren. All eight of us have kids of voting age, in college. Three of those kids have said they’ll vote for Sanders (including my daughter). The others are undecided. Of course, just a micro-poll, but it’s one that surprised me in its recent shift toward Amy.

If Amy isn’t on the ballot, my second choice is Pete.

But I change my mind a lot. Sadly, by the time my state votes in late April, I will be lucky to even have 2 choices. So irritated with made-up media rules that there are only so many tickets out of each state. The media just wants the field narrowed down so they don't have to cover so many campaigns.

4th or 5th in NH and I think Klobuchar will drop out. Maybe not if she's 4th and Biden is 5th, but I don't see where Klobuchar can win outside of MN.
