Mark Penn better hop in right way, and cook up better numbers than that.

Bernie's fundraising means people responded to his performance.

Bloomberg on the other hand is a venereal disease the Democratic Party has caught after Citizens United lowered our immunity.

This poll may be "off," but I think it is safe to say that Sanders is leading in CA by a significant margin--outside the margin of error.

He's been courting the Latino community for five years, and he has had tremendous success. TX and CA are going to give Bernie a lot of delegates, and then we'll see some serious freaking-out around here.

Democratic Voters SPEAK to the Democratic Establishment:

VOTERS: Look. You're marrying Princess Bernie ...

ESTABLISHMENT: But I don't like her.

VOTERS: What's wrong with her? She's young; she's beautiful; she's got a HUGE number of delegates ...

Better to laugh than to cry, no?

This is posted in good fun. Obviously, Bernie's not my first choice for our nominee, but I see what I see.

and endorses either Biden or Bloomberg or even (more doubtful she can do it) Warren. Whoever has the best shot at denying Sanders the 1991 magic number and hopefully keeping him from under 40% of the delegates overall.

If Bernie is at 43, 45% or even higher, and no other candidate is over 25 or 30%, there will be no way to deny him the nomination without ripping the party apart and thus making a Trump victory even more likely than a Sanders nomination would.

Klobuchar is in it at this point to just stop Bernie from winning MN, but she and Steyer and Gabbard (I hope even though she is inconsequential) will all drop out after Super Tuesday I would think, as none of them have a path forward (and perhaps neither does Pete or Warren, although I hope she stays in and draws from Sanders)

That will leave Mike, Joe, and Bernie. I don't really count Tulsi or the others who didn't make it to the debate stage. Tulsi will stay in it, I think, because, well ... I can't say what I really think on this subject on DU. Tulsi may decide to run as a spoiler/independent ... just to siphon-off votes in the general. We shall see what we see.

Clyburn endorsement and the debate, I truly fear Biden is done for more than likely, although obviously we have to wait until after Super Tuesday before making the final call. I do not think Bloomberg alone can stop Bernie at all, so it is crucial that Biden does well on Saturday and then on ST.

The magic number to watch is 1600 delegates (a little over 40%), as if Bernie racks up that or more, and no other candidate has over 30%, it is going to be basically impossible to deny him the nomination without rending the party asunder. What a possible nightmare scenario we are perhaps staggering towards, as both scenarios (Bernie as nominee or a brokered convention that takes it away from a 40-45ish % or more Bernie with no single other person at 25% or 30%) are dire harbingers for a Trump 2nd term.

There is a lot of excitement about Sanders here and a lot of it is due to young people supporting him not only with their votes but a large number of them are campaigning for him. It is ironic the democratic party has put a lot of time and effort into registering younger voters and getting them excited about the election and it is paying off, for Bernie.
