My grandmother could have made a better decision than that so called Judge.
to determine how language might be commonly interpreted. To this man, Section 13 of the 14th Amendment is clear about who is disqualified from office after participating in an insurrection. If they had intended to exempt a president, which as an idea seems to be a stretch, in plain language, they would have said a president is exempt under Section 3.
The judge's ruling is right on insurrection, but totally wrong in saying that there is a presidential exemption hidden in the plain language. The ruling makes her like ridiculous. Why did she do it? The idea that she was too scared to rule against Trump really is plausible. Did she get a scary phone call in the middle of the night? That too is plausible.
that the judge thinks someone who can and has withhold/withheld the national guard is not considered in the amendment.
