the treatment is to win office and then destroy the virus. It is not time to go easy and stop the antibiotics when it seems the virus has retreated a little (e.g. a Democrat became President). The virus only comes back stronger. Some examples:
1992 - Bill Clinton becomes President. The GOP virus retreats and then takes over the House while we are patting ourselves on the back for defeating Bush I.
2000 - The republicans steal the Federal election for Bush II while we talk about the need to get along and not disrupt the status quo.
2002 - we lost the Senate because the media shows pictures of Democrats seemingly out of touch with the common man (what a disgusting joke that is), while the republicans give the rich the most generous tax cut in history.
2004 - Kerry picks Edwards who decides to have an affair while running for office because he doesn't care about defeating bush at the polls. Meanwhile, the republicans probably stole another election for bush.
2006 - we win back the House because Nancy Pelosi firmly attacks Republican policies.
2008 - Obama wins as the republicans show how truly stupid their policies amid a complete financial system collapse.
2010 - somehow, we let the republicans win back the House and gerrymander races for the next decade.
and then we all shamefully know trump's history.
I believe the Republican dominated Supreme Court attacked our Democracy in 2000 by selecting
George Bush as President by stopping the vote count. If any of the bush family were patriots they would have insisted that the vote count continue to find the actual winner. The fact they did not and the fact that there is a muted outcry among voters shows how much support they had to destroy Democracy and the indifference among many.
This was a pivitol moment in history and a theft of Democracy. We responded by picking two weak candidates to run in 2004 and never raising the spectre of a stolen election. One of the candidates decided to have an affair when he should have been fighting for the country's very democratic survival.
Obama won in 2008 but then voted from the center and lost site of the coming census that would allow Republicans to cheat in redrawing voting districts. Again them stole Democracy. The media talked about Obama's tanned suit choices. Meanwhile, instead of embracing the left and talking about the Republicans as the american hating traitors that they were, Obama sought to work with McConnell for too long.
Hillary Clinton, love her, fought an intellectual game against Trump foreign fueled campaign. At a time to speak out about how corrupt trump was, and the foreign money, and visiting blue collar States, the threat to Democracy was not fully exposed.
Now here we are. Two Democratic Senators feel the filibuster is more important than minority votes in Texas and Florida. The executive team is doing what they should in normal times. But these are not normal times. We are at war with the republicans who hate us, hate our democracy and would like to see everyone on the left die of covid.
We better fight, because time is running out for Democracy. They better release all the truth, declassify documents, use the power of law to get to the truth and ensure it is talked about before the midterms. Losing those may mean losing Democracy.
In my opinion we need to keep reminding everyone that Republicans are the cult of death
Many of their leaders and supporters
- hate America.
- they lie
- they traffic children for sex
- they have sex with underaged victims
- they will work with foreign adversaries for money or influence
- they would rather serve Putin than anyone in America who isn't as rabid crazy as they are
- they would rather tell there supporters to not take precautions to save their own lives
- they will watch fox news hosts who lie about covid and give advice that risks the lives of their own supporters and other people in general
- they have to be hypocrites and idiots. A BLM demonstration in Florida is evil, but a Cuban one is perfectly okay.
- they are racist. Black and Brown lives don't matter to them.
- everyone has a right to a gun, but not the right to vote
- they are complete cowards - send other children to fight but dodge every draft themselves
republicans are the lowest of the low at this point in time. Cringeworthy, treacherous filth.
repug voting restrictions are disgusting and anti-democratic
ANYONE who is not angry and disgusted and afraid - looking at you Joe Manchin - is a fool or anti-Democratic themselves.
from criminalizing giving someone a glass of water (isn't this against the teachings of Jesus) to helping someone with a ballot, these are intimidation tactics from a gop party that has gone fascist.
Watch out for Democracy. There will be strong forces trying to take it away.
Co-Presidency - Biden hoping to bring America together by co-running the Executive Branch with Trump
Fresh off the heels of several successes in actually helping the American people and supporting other Democratic countries, President Biden is becoming bolder in his initiatives. In order to unite the country, he has issued an Executive Order to allow the former guy to become co-President for the next year of his term.
Asked for comment, Vice President Harris welcomed the bold move saying: 'Qnon has been wrong about everything, so this is our olive branch to show them that they are not complete idiots [Editor's note: they are].
Asked to comment, the former guy trump responded: 'i never lost, i created this position for Biden. And i never raped anyone. Putin is not my master. And i can't wait to have the voters pay for my golfing and staying at my financially troubled properties. Oh, and by accepting this position, i'm giving up $100 billion".
Asked for any final thoughts, Biden replied: "APRIL FOOLS". "Let's get them to work for the American People and forget the former guy!"
So is Manchin going to stand by and let repugs destroy democracy through voter suppression?
Democracy itself is at stake. Under repugs we get mass death through incompetence. Then they lie about facts and then they blame immigrants. They when they lose at the ballet box, they accept help from foreign enemies and then start suppressing votes.
Which other Democracy in the world criminalizes giving water to voters in a long line in a hot climate. The long lines created by the repugs in the first place and long lines meaning voters want to vote.
Manchin and anyone else allowing voter suppression to continue hates Democracy, hates America, and wants a form of dictatorship. The same is true for any repugs who stand by and watch this happen. But with the exception of maybe 3 or 4 the others have revealed themselves to be anti-American.
Is Terry Moran truly a moron or a right wing traitor?
I thought i would try watching George Stephanopoulos' show this morning. I had to change the channel in less than 2 minutes. This terry moran who i assume is a true moron spent more time trying to explain how President Biden should thank the former guy trump for the vaccine and that Biden deserves little thanks for where we are with the 100 million doses in less than 100 days. That smug piece of shit called it a low bar. The other dried up host, whose name i can't remember then joined in and said that the victory dance by Biden's people is too premature. Maybe they should focus on how the traitor made wearing masks a political statement, kept support from blue states, and secretly got a vaccine himself while encouraging his supporters to risk their lives.
So let's get this straight. These enemies of the people as the former guy always called them, feel that the grifter and liar should get credit but the new admin who actually got stuff done (had nothing to do with warp speed) should not discuss their success at all. These are the types of imbeciles who destroyed Hillary over nothing and allow a traitor to steal his way into office. And they are doing it again.
why should we care about the 2022 midterms?
We absolutely need to keep the house and senate in 2022. Absolutely must fight like its for the survival of Democracy. Imagine the damage that Kevin, traitor trump stooge, mccarthy and moscow mitch would do to voting rights and our institutions and lay out a steal for trump in 2024. Even if it's not trump, but another anti-democracy lying repug, same threat level.
At that point, good bye to American Democracy.
This is what happened in Obama's first term. The midterms were not fought hard from us, repugs won the house, gerrymandered everything and led to this continued rule without more votes.
GOP measures for success include
- treason and giving foreign enemies what they want
- lying everyday
- tweets from the president to call people names and threaten opponents and allies alike
- lying about covid deaths
- increasing numbers of covid deaths
- lying about the benefit of face masks and social distancing
- threatening blue states, lying to red states
- giving money to the ultrarich
- taking health care away from Americans
- yelling at states that are hit by disasters - instead of providing Federal aide - like texas just got
by these measures the gop would declare that Biden has failed.
Republican Cowards Don't Understand Facts
As a republican candidate, trump would have received over 50 million votes just because of the R beside his name. It has nothing to do with him and his policies. The only ones he has brought in are the loser, radical, racists. That group makes a lot of noise, they are dangerous, but they don't win Democratic elections in a free country.
the 2020 election was tilted towards the repugs. They had destroyed the post office, fed lies to their voters to go out in person and vote, gerrymandered everywhere, and had the power of the Presidency. They lost in a landslide. If we continue to govern with enthusiasm, Patriotism, progressively, and recognize that we must fight fiercely against republican lies, we have a huge advantage.
As things stand today, the next repug President may be the last Democratically elected President in the USA. The stakes are that high. We must make the public understand that voting repug is voting AGAINST Democracy. We cannot afford to lose the Presidency for many cycles to ensure that Democracy survives. I would even say we must keep the House and the Senate as well for a few cycles in a row.
