Like a child without adult supervision, Trump played with fire and got severely burned. He's not some cunning political genius. People are giving him far too much credit. The man aint that smart. His money came from his daddy, from banks, from The Apprentice, and finally from Russians looking to launder dirty money. And, he blew through ALL of that.
This damages his campaign bigly. The major question of this campaign is Trump's poor response to the covid-19 pandemic, and by contracting it himself, he proves that he cannot manage this crisis on a personal level, let alone on a national one. Even if this takes his other scandals off the table, he comes across as highly incompetent and weak.
The election is not over, but it's hard to see how he wins an election that he was already losing by huge margins. We still have to turnout and put Trump behind us for good.
