Yavin4's JournalWhich is worse? Taking pleasure in the suffering of others or Indifference to the suffering of other
Both are equally deplorable, but IMHO, indifference is far worse. What's your opinion?

Should the Clinton Campaign sue James Comey for libel?
Is there precedence for this? Is it possible? Yes, it's replaying 2016 all over again, but what happened to Hillary was wrong and it needs to be corrected.
Libel:
1) n. to publish in print (including pictures), writing or broadcast through radio, television or film, an untruth about another which will do harm to that person or his/her reputation, by tending to bring the target into ridicule, hatred, scorn or contempt of others. Libel is the written or broadcast form of defamation, distinguished from slander, which is oral defamation. It is a tort (civil wrong) making the person or entity (like a newspaper, magazine or political organization) open to a lawsuit for damages by the person who can prove the statement about him/her was a lie. Publication need only be to one person, but it must be a statement which claims to be fact and is not clearly identified as an opinion. While it is sometimes said that the person making the libelous statement must have been intentional and malicious, actually it need only be obvious that the statement would do harm and is untrue.

Indifference is our biggest threat, not Trump, not his Deplorable followers
The largest voting group in 2016 is those voters that did not vote. Instead of focusing on appealing to Deplorables, who are beyond reaching, we, as Democrats, need to focus our attention on the indifferent voter. Why don't they vote and what gets them to vote? Is it barriers to actually voting like time, registration issues, etc. Is it policy? Do we have the kind of policy positions that appeal to them? Do our values as progressives/Democrats appeal to them?
We're all familiar with the quote about how evil succeeds when good people do nothing. The key to defeating Trump and his Deplorables is to get good people to vote.

Personal relationships as Foreign Policy
Doesn't this assume that the same leaders will always be in place in order to make these personal relationships work? Even if Trump does have great personal relationships with world leaders, at best, he's president for only 6 more years. Then what happens to these personal relationships?
If the South had won the Civil War, wouldn't the plantation owners use slave labor in other
capacities/jobs and in other industries? And, wouldn't that mean that working class Southern Whites would have no way to support themselves once the war was over? Because why use paid labor when there's slave labor?
Preidiction for Trump's summit with North Korea
I'm going to save all of us a lot of time and let you know now how this whole thing will go down and how the media will report on it:
1. Trump and Kim Jong Un will have a series of photo ops. and pressers.
2. Nothing substantive whatsoever will come out of this summit. Maybe some small agreement on the side which will be violated within months.
3. Trump won't soil his pants.
4. The media will hail Trump as a great foreign policy leader and compare him to Nixon opening relations with China.
5. Based on positive media coverage, Trump's approval rating will go above 50% for the first time.
6. Democratic leaders in congress will praise Trump and enrage the base.
Finally, right before the end of the year, North Korea will do something hostile, and we'll be right back to where we were before the summit, maybe in a worse place.
The end.
