Expect the polls to narrow in the Fall.

I want to get out ahead of this. The polls will narrow the closer we get to the election. In fact, Biden's national lead in the average of polls may be within the margin of error.

The election will be decided in the 6, or so, swing states. Watch those state polls, esp. in the last two weeks.

Will arrested protestors be allowed to vote in November?

Will their arrest and possible fines disqualify them from voting? It's a question that I have not seen answered.

The scariest thing about Trump.

At a minimum, he still has 7 months or so in office. Look at the damage to our nation that he's wrought in the previous 7 months.

I'm reading the Dark Tower and Wheel of Time series at the same time

Do we need to send armed police to every interaction with the public?

Doesn't having armed police automatically escalate a situation? For example, do we need to have armed police for a traffic stop? Do we need to have armed cops for a domestic violence dispute?

I understand that I am proposing a radically different approach to policing, but it seems to me that when you arm and armor the police, you create a cultural mindset in the cops that it's some sort of urban warfare.

Has your workplace discussed their plans to protect you when they re-open?

Before covid-19, viruses would spread through my office like wildfire year over year. We work in an open office so that our insecure managers can see what you are doing at all times because the only thing that they are capable of is micro-managing.

But now that we are in a covid-19 world, there's been no plan or message as to how they will retrofit our workspace to protect us. I cannot wear a mask for 9 hours while I work. We cannot social distance. And what about the bathrooms?

What has your office told you?

Is Putin America's most successful foreign adversary?

You could say the VietCong but they took a lot of casualties in the war. Putin just had a few hackers in a room typing away on keyboards.
