After Biden won his Senate race in '72, he and his opponent did a walking tour of Delaware
It was a lovely 15 minute stroll.
We are witnessing the implosion of the Republican party right before our eyes
No Speaker of the House, and no "reputable" candidate even wants the job. Donald Trump, Ben Carson, and Carly Fiorina, three novices who are woefully under-qualified to be president, are leading the entire field of nominees. Two "stars" of the Republican party, Rick Perry and Scott Walker dropped out of the running for the nomination months before Iowa. The former House Majority Whip is defeated in a primary election. Another former "star", Bob McDonell, is heading to prison.
No clear leader. No agenda that speaks to the American people. An oft-mocked, propaganda network posing as a news network is running the show. Losers of the popular vote in 3 of the last 4 presidential elections. Have to rely on gerrymandering, voter suppression, and low voter turnout in order to win elections. No women in leadership roles in the House. African Americans, Latinos, and Women pretty much hate them.
This is a party dying in front of our eyes.
How can people criticize Obama for not working with Republicans in Congress when...
Congressional Republicans cannot even work with each other???
Update: The venue for the 2016 Republican convention has been changed
to a more appropriate location:
That is all.
The very low tech world of "All the President's Men"
I re-watched that movie, and I could not believe just how low tech everything was back in 1972. There's a scene where Redford is trying to locate the head of the MN Republican party. He pours through phone book after phone book trying to find him.
I found him in .07 seconds: http://mngop.com/keith-downey-re-elected-mngop-chair/
This is what happens when you mis-treat kitty!

The best way to get responsible gun control measures passed
If all African Americans and Latino Americans started buying guns en masse. If there was a real movement to get African Americans and Latinos to buy and own guns, then, and only then, would there be the political will by the White majority to pass responsible gun control measures.
