Le Taz Hot
Le Taz Hot's JournalWe were driving home from the Central Coast yesterday
when all of a sudden this guy drives up to us in the next lane, honks at us and begins gesticulating wildly and giving us the thumbs-up sign. At first I couldn't understand what he was "saying" when my husband says, "It's your Bernie bumper sticker." It made me smile.
Alright, you guys,
I FINALLY did it. AGAINST MY BETTER JUDGMENT I signed up on Facebook but ONLY because I wanted to hook up with other Bernie supporters. Problem is, I have NO idea how to do this.
Help!!!!
Thank you in advance.
So, we're running into a brick wall locally
trying to get the local Democratic Party Headquarters to feature anything Bernie. Last time I was there there were TONS of stuff for Hillary and absolutely nothing for any of the other candidates.
So, right after our July 6, Fresno for Bernie Steering committee meeting several people, including myself, submitted the dates for the upcoming Fresno for Bernie Steering Committee meetings as well as the Fresno For Bernie meetings (all are invited) to be added to the calendar. We're still waiting. There seems to be some sandbagging going on at the Democratic Party Headquarters when it comes to anything other than Hillary.
I mean, we're going full-steam-ahead regardless but I was just wondering if anyone else is running into this problem with their local Democratic Party organization? I'm just curious.
Here's the RSVP link for the Fresno for Bernie Group.
Via a suggestion from another DUer, I checked out the PeopleforBernie.com website and added our local group so if anyone from the San Joaquin Valley is interested in joining us, here's the RSVP link:

All Bernie supporters (and potential supporters) are welcome!

I like Hillary Clinton, I really do, BUT . . .
well, OK, not really. But, apparently it's "I like <fill in the blank candidate> I really do, BUT . . . " week and I was feeling left out.
Thinking seriously about getting T-shirts made with this:
"Bernie Sanders: When you've been right for 40 years, you don't have to evolve."
Whaddya think?
Indiana’s Church of Cannabis files religious liberty suit
INDIANAPOLIS The First Church of Cannabis filed a lawsuit Wednesday (July 8) against the state of Indiana and city of Indianapolis, challenging state laws on possession and use of marijuana as infringing upon religious beliefs.
The complaint, filed in Marion County Circuit Court, contends that cannabis is the churchs sacrament and its members believe marijuana brings us closer to ourselves and others.
We are taking legal action today to ensure love has no barriers in our land, said Bill Levin, Church of Cannabis founder, in front of the Indiana Statehouse.
Today we invite the state of Indiana and all its leaders to joyfully meet us in a court of law for clarifications on our core religious values, he said. We look forward to engaging them on the high plane of dignity and discipline, with love and compassion in our hearts, to find a swift and sensible answer for our questions of religious equality.

Bernie Sanders Breaks 20% in a National Poll for the First Time; Gaining Support Across Demographics
Yougov has a new national democratic primary poll just out (full PDF results), showing Bernie Sanders breaking 20% for the first time.
Nationally, Bernie is at 25% in a multi-candidate matchup, and at 32% against Clinton alone. What's more, as we will see below, the poll provides evidence indicating that Bernie's appeal is not confined just to white liberals, as some have argued. There is also evidence that much of Hillary's current lead may simply be due to name recognition, and so as more people learn who Bernie is, he still has plenty of room to grow his support.
In a general matchup, including not only Sanders and Clinton, but also other candidates (and potential candidates), the results are:
Hillary Clinton 43%
Bernie Sanders 25%
Joe Biden 12%
Jim Webb 4%
Lincoln Chafee 1%
Other 5%
No Preference 11%
531 respondents
(PDF, see page 97 results)
There are some problems with this question. In particular, Joe Biden hasn't even announced his candidacy, and there is no indication that he is running.
