Trump, McCarthy, and Accomplices down to their last bullet...

In the last couple of days, both Trump and McCarthy are saying that the Democrats are using the January 6th Committee as a "partisan political weapon" to further divide the people.

It sounds like desperation.

Otherwise, why would they be so fearful of the Jan 6 Committee? Perhaps it is not the Committee that they fear as much as the information and facts that the Committee has in its possession?

The truth is coming after their asses and they can't handle it.

A strategy I would like to see from the DOJ...

I'm sure the DOJ has their own strategy in place and are working diligently to enforce it.

So, this is only a personal opinion.

But, I would like to see them use Donald Trump as the "bait". Keep him hanging out there and do not charge him with anything until they have caught the school of sharks that surround him.

Trump should be used as shad, a bait to catch bigger fish.

Sooner or later, someone will spill the beans about the entire coup conspiracy if they think they are going to jail.

I would like to see the DOJ go after the school of sharks very aggressively.

I think their strategy will become much more obvious in the next few weeks.

The White House Counsel thought they were going to arrest Trump on January 6th.

Pat Cipollone, the White House Counsel, advised Trump that he might be arrested.

We haven't heard much from the WH Counsel lately?

One wonders if he has been talking with the Committee?

Is he the one that gave the info about Ivanka?

I suspect we will know sooner than later.

When do you think the Supreme Court will rule on Trump's "executive privilege" case?

The 1/6 Committee has asked them to expedite their decision. But, will they?

They are scheduled to rule on "mandated" vaccines, which are supported by Joe Biden, this Friday. It is possible they may not rule in Biden's favor.

What better time than the next Monday to refuse the Trump case, going along with the decisions of the District Court and the Appeals Court?

Roberts would really like to salvage a bit of the Court's reputation, by announcing a non-partisan decision.

Is Vladimir trying to help his pal, Donald, with his threats against the Ukraine?

Is he making threats of war to take the heat off his former puppet?

If it is, it doesn't seem to be working. Unless, of course, he actually attacks.

But, it does seem to be a modus operandi of Vlad's - to try and get people to focus on something else.

Unfortunately for them, Joe Biden knows their game very well.

Have most people put January 6th behind them?

I heard Michelle Goldberg, NYTimes, say that on MSNBC, yesterday.

Is it true that most folks have put the attack on our Capitol behind them and it is no longer an issue?

I find that hard to believe.

However, I do remember the assassination of JFK and people were able to put that behind them. They accepted the official story that Lee Harvey Oswald was the lone gunman. Even after Oswald was murdered before he could talk.

But, as tragic as was the assassination of JFK, it was not a threat to the very survival of our democracy.

Somehow, this story is different, it seems to me.

What would a jury trial for Donald J Trump look like?

Would they be sequestered?

Would both sides be ordered to not talk to the press?

Would it be possible to get Trump voters, not necessarily Trump supporters, on the jury? Could they render a fair judgement if they were not part of the "cult"?

Could they order Trump to be silent during his trial?

It's hard to imagine.

How the "Big Lie" was born?

It didn't happen in 2020. It didn't happen in 2016. It happened many years ago.

It was born in the mind of a sick and cowardly person that could not envision ever losing at anything. Excuses had to be created before the truth and reality intervened. The "Big Lie" was nothing more than an excuse for losing.

Even before the election of 2016, we heard the same excuse. The election was "rigged". It was a "fraud". Even after losing the popular vote by almost 3 million votes, Trump was somehow able to win the "Electoral College". So he declared it a "landslide".

Months before the election of 2020, we heard how the election was going to be "rigged" against Trump. It was going to be "stolen" from him. Over and over, he pounded the "stop the steal" mantra into the weak minds of his followers. So that when he did lose, they actually believed the election was "stolen". Although all the experts and all the evidence said otherwise.

The "Stop the Steal" was a defense mechanism for the cowardly loser that was born many years ago. If anything did not go his way, then he was a victim. He was cheated or it was stolen from him. Because he simply could not be a "loser".

Although his supporters were a minority of Americans, they were devoutly loyal to him and he was the only source of news that they trusted. They were a cult. They could never understand how a majority of Americans could ever vote against him? They still cannot understand.

The "Big Lie" was created as a defense against truth and reality. When coupled with power, it is a very dangerous weapon to confront.
