kentuck's JournalUkraine is not Trump's first rodeo or the first time he has asked for foreign assistance...
...for his campaign.
The Russian collusion was real.
When he said, "Russia, if you're listening...", he was serious.
So it should be no surprise to anyone that he asked the Ukraine president for assistance for his campaign. Just because there is a law against it, why should that matter ??
So, it has happened at least two times. Maybe more?
Republicans act as if it no big deal. Even if he did it, it's not an impeachable offense. No doubt, that is the way they will vote on the floor of the Senate after the trial.
But even the wildest towns have to have a sheriff. Nancy Pelosi is the Sheriff and she is a stickler for the old Constitution. The lawlessness will need to cease.
Republicans have no defense for Trump.
All they have is PR, rumors, name-calling, and bullshit.
All they have is Rush Limbaugh, talk radio, and FOX News.
They have no facts, no argument, no legitimate defense for their Dear Leader.
They have devolved to the point where they are nothing but a figment of "fake news".
"Never Trumpers" ?
This is a nickname that Donald Trump has given to Republicans that oppose him.
They are always wrong, according to Donald Trump.
They could never be right.
They are wrong because they disagree with Donald Trump.
It is a way to discount all opinions other than his own.
They are discredited as unworthy and traitorous.
It's like when he says that someone supported Hillary Clinton, as if that proves the superiority of his argument?
Flashback to Colonel Ollie North
The witness just arrived at the Capitol and was in full military dress uniform.
I recall how Ollie North came to the hearing in a similar manner during the Iran-Contra scandal.
It was very difficult to question a man in military uniform.
An interesting development.
Does this guest on CNN seem like a Russian agent?
Or is he really that stupid?
He seems to be speaking for someone else all the time? Totally irrational.
It's hard to tell if he's working for Trump or working for Russia? Or both?

Cognitive debiasing
https://effectiviology.com/cognitive-debiasing-how-to-debias/What is the backfire effect
The backfire effect is a cognitive bias that causes people who encounter evidence which challenges their beliefs to reject that evidence, and to strengthen their support of their original stance. Essentially, the backfire effect means that showing people evidence which proves that they are wrong is often ineffective, and can actually end up backfiring, by causing them to support their original stance more strongly than they previously did.
As such, the backfire effect is a subtype of the confirmation bias, which is a cognitive bias that can cause people to reject information which contradicts their beliefs, or to interpret information in a way that confirms those beliefs.

Republicans have come to a crossroads - Trump or the Republican Party?
They must make a moral decision. They must make the right decision. They cannot afford to be wrong.
They will decide what type of country we should have in the future. It is about all of us. United we stand, divided we fall.
In every war, there is a decisive moment in a decisive battle that determines the course for the rest of the war.
This is it for Republicans.
Should Democrats speed up the Impeachment investigation?
Should they go into public testimony?
Or should they just be patient and interview all these witnesses that are volunteering to come in without subpoenas or court battle?
Would it be better to have the investigation over with by Thanksgiving? Or Christmas? Might it make a good Christmas present for law-abiding citizens?
Democrats should keep the pressure on Trump and the Republicans, in my opinion. It is wrong to inform Russia but not inform Nancy Pelosi and Adam Schiff. (We don't know if he notified McConnell or McCarthy) It is an abuse of power to tell no one... except Russia.
If Republicans think the Democrats are going to end their investigation on Thanksgiving, they will attempt to run out the clock.
The Democrats have said there is no "time table" on this impeachment investigation. Perhaps they need to make another public statement to that fact?
Is it "Witness Tampering"?
A former aide, who worked closely with John Bolton, is asking a judge to sort out "irreconcilable commands", coming from both the White House and the Judiciary Committee?
He was to testify today in front of the Intel Committee but there is no ruling at this time. Seems like an ideal time to subpoena John Bolton?
If the White House is telling him not to testify, is that "witness tampering"? What right do they have to interfere with a legitimate investigation?
Should Schumer and Pelosis send private message to McConnell and McCarthy?
Honorable Gentlemen:
We need to know.
Did the President give either of you a heads up about the operation to kill Baghdadi?
We believe this is a serious problem.
Our job is to oversee the Executive.
We should schedule a meeting in the next week or two, or at your earliest convenience?
