Why Donald Trump decided to support Dr Oz in PA Senate race?

And why Stephen Miller decided to testify before the Committee?

When Miller informed Trump that he had decided to testify before the Committee, Trump attempted to make a power play to keep him from talking. He knew that Miller and Hope Hicks, well-known sycophants, were supporting Dave McCormick for Senate in Pennsylvania. So Trump makes a public declaration that he is supporting Dr Oz in PA.

Miller decides it is in his own best interest to go before the Committee. After all, Jared and Ivanka and Cippolone had already agreed to talk with them. Why should he go broke on legal fees defending Donald Trump?

This is all supposition on my part but I would bet it is very close to what happened.

Four U.S. Secret Service agents suspended over ties to phony cops

Do you think there is a lot more to this story?

(Reuters) - The U.S. Secret Service has suspended four agents linked to two men accused of impersonating federal law enforcement officers who authorities said gave gifts worth thousands of dollars to agency personnel including one assigned to protect President Joe Biden's wife.

The two Washington men, Arian Taherzadeh, 40, and Haider Ali, 35, appeared in federal court on Thursday a day after being arrested. Prosecutors said they plan to charge them with conspiracy in a scheme in which they are accused of posing as U.S. Department of Homeland Security agents.

Taherzadeh offered to purchase a $2,000 assault rifle for a Secret Service agent assigned to protect first lady Jill Biden and told other government officials they could have access to what he claimed were "official government vehicles," the FBI said.

During the interview with the Postal inspector who discovered the scheme, the men claimed to be part of a special police investigative unit involved with under-cover gang work and investigations into the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the U.S. Capitol, officials said.

When you voted for Joe Biden, did you think he would be a two-term President?

Or did you vote for him because he was the best person to defeat Donald Trump?

And you did not believe the country could stand four more years of Trump and Putin?

Joe Biden was a candidate of necessity, in many ways.

Is it too early to talk about 4 more years?

How close was the WH Counsel, Pat Cipollone, to the Oval Office on January 6th?

He is scheduled to talk "informally" to the January 6 Committee today, along with his deputy, Patrick Philbin.

Did he speak with Trump while the insurrection was going on? It was reported early on that he told Mr Trump that he might be arrested on that very day. How serious did he think it was at the time?

As I recall, he held the same position (WH Counsel) that John Dean held when Watergate happened? Just an interesting corollary to me.

The January 6 Committee inches closer and closer to the Oval Office.

Trump is doing his best to stay relevant...

...and stay out of jail.

He continues to hold his rallies, but the crowds of adoring fans are much smaller.

He continues to criticize everyone that did not support his Big Lie and his attempt to overturn an election and stay in power.

He continues with just enough controversial comments to stay in the headlines of the "fake" news media. (Perhaps he is the most honest person God ever created?)

Republicans in leadership are attempting to distance themselves from him and hoping he is "restrained" enough for them to win back the Senate this November.

He really misses being "the most powerful person" on Earth. He would do anything to get back into the White House.

Those that oppose him are the lowest scum on Earth and those that praise him may get a Cabinet position when he returns to the White House?

Oh, if America could just return to the worst job record since Herbert Hoover and the good ol' days when we were respected by Russia and all the despots of the world.

Nearing the end of their investigation, the J6 Committee has some tough decisions to make.

Should they subpoena Donald Trump, Mike Pence, and Don Jr to come before their Committee?
Should they subpoena Gosar, Biggs, and Brooks to answer questions, since they were so involved in the "Stop the Steal" movement?

Since Trump and Pence were part of the Executive Branch and no longer in office, there is no reason they should not be subpoenaed, in my opinion. Gosar, Biggs, and Brooks present a different problem, since they are part of the same Legislative Branch as the members on the Committee and they are still serving as Congressmen.

As for Don Jr, there is no reason he should not be subpoenaed, since the latest bombshell of his texts were made public. The texts show him to be conspiring to overthrow the election before the election was even called. His attorney said that he likely got the texts from someone else before he sent them? If so, how long before? Was it before Election Day? How long had it been planned? That "alibi" doesn't help Don Jr in the least.

There is no legal reason not to subpoena Trump and Pence. It would give the Congress a reason to reclaim their legitimacy from the Executive Branch. After all, they are the Representatives of the People.

The Committee could kill two birds with one stone, if they were to subpoena Trump and Pence. What right are they claiming, to prevent them from answering questions about January 6th and other questionable activities, involving the election of 2020?

If they refused the subpoenas, the Committee could then make a criminal referral to the DOJ for contempt of Congress, and it would not interfere with any investigations that the DOJ might have ongoing, which reportedly has been a concern of theirs. They would be treated no differently from Bannon, Scavino, Eastman, or others that might be subpoenaed in the next few weeks. They would have no legal excuse. They are only using "politics" and the possibility of running for President in 2024 as an excuse not to testify before the Committee. They should not be allowed to get away with it.

The subpoenas for Trump and Pence and the likelihood that both would ignore it, would give credence to contempt of Congress charges against both.

Was Junior the Real Judas?

Was the brains behind the attempted coup really Don Jr and not his father?
===============================

https://www.newsweek.com/trump-jr-accused-treason-after-pre-january-6-texts-meadows-revealed-1696577

Legal experts are calling for Donald Trump Jr. to face criminal proceedings after newly revealed text messages obtained by the January 6 House committee show he sought to prevent certification of the 2020 election and install his father to a second term.

While votes for the 2020 election were being counted, Trump Jr. texted then-White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows laying out a strategy to keep President Donald Trump in power by throwing out election results of key swing states, CNN reported Friday. The disclosed texts shed further light on recent revelations of Trump and his inner circle's efforts to block the certification of the 2020 election.

The texts between Trump's eldest son and the top White House aide describe a course of action to keep the president in power: prevent swing states from certifying their results through lawsuits and demanding recounts. After casting doubt on the election's legitimacy, GOP-controlled Legislatures could assemble pro-Trump slates for the Electoral College, according to CNN.

"This was an attempted putsch," Richard Painter, a law professor and former chief ethics lawyer for former President George W. Bush, said on Twitter. "He belongs in the slammer!"
