I'm thinking of making a minimal donation to Tom Steyer, the billionaire....

...just to get him on the debate stage.

Because he is sure to keep the impeachment issue front and center.

Would it be worth it?

Issues vs Personality

Do the majority of people vote for specific issues or on the personality of the candidate?

In my opinion, many people, especially the more informed, vote on specific issues, such as healthcare, environment, economy, jobs, etc.

However, when it comes down to making a final choice, the majority vote on whether or not they like one person more than the other. Pardon the pun, but personality trumps issues.

Democrats are running against a cult of personality. Republicans, even when they are discussing issues such as immigration, make it about personality. They attack the previous President about his immigration policies, or sanctuary cities, or murders by immigrants, etc. They don't really discuss solutions to the immigration problem. They blame the Democrats.

This is a problem for Democrats. They prefer to discuss government solutions to these problems. Republicans prefer personal attacks upon their opponents. It is unfortunate that the majority of voters are prone to support the attacks, rather than the solutions. Perhaps it is a part of human nature?

So, what is the best strategy for the Democrats? Should they continue to discuss the issues, even while they are being attacked unmercifully by their opponents? Will that win the next election for them?

Or do they need to get tougher? How would they do that? They are being bullied. How do you fight back against a "bully"?

In my opinion, this is where the campaign is at this moment. Following the rules of the past will not work. They must change their strategy.

Just my opinion.

Trump is an ignorant, incompetent moron...

That's the best that can be said about him.

If no Democrat criticizes him again from now until the next election, he will still be an ignorant, incompetent moron.

But, we all know, he is much more than that.

But, we don't need to know more. It degrades our country and our people.

Every citizen must decide what kind of country they wish to live in. Name-calling and hateful division only makes us weaker and less human.

We must conquer the hate and anger within us.

Another Nuremberg rally...

It's like a cheap thrill...

Like thousands of Pavlov's dogs, they wait for his pause so they can applaud. His nose stuck in the air and his chin jutted out like Mussolini, he struts across the stage in front of his admiring worshipers.

His lies and divisive hatred spew from his mouth like a fireman's hose.

If he were an electric car, his rally would be his charging station. He needs the re-assurance that he can still fire up his followers.

It's a sad time in our nation's history but it is where we are...

The DNC needs to start advertising on FOX News...

And if they did, would Donald Trump attempt to force them off the air?

I suppose he might?

No sooner had the debate ended last night, Donald Trump was running an ad on MSNBC calling the Democrats "Communists, Radicals. and Socialists". No threat will go unanswered by Mr Trump.

I doubt that he ran the ad on FOX News? Why would he?

I can imagine the backlash if Democrats were to begin running ads on FOX News. Trump would attack not only the Democrats but FOX News as well.

Democrats need to join the propaganda war, in my opinion.

And they should pull no punches.
