How did we get 501,000 fewer jobs than reported by this White House?

Doesn't that seem like a huge number to be off in one year?

Was the false reporting on purpose or a glitch in the system? I tend to think the former.

Obama's job numbers were already ahead of Trump's, even before this story came out yesterday.

Who were they trying to fool? Did they think no one would ever catch the discrepancies in their numbers?

After a trillion dollar tax cut, this is not good news for those crowing about the "great economy".

A Short History of 'America First'

https://www.theatlantic.com/politics/archive/2017/01/trump-america-first/514037/

<snip>
The America First Committee (AFC), which was founded in 1940, opposed any U.S. involvement in World War II, and was harshly critical of the Roosevelt administration, which it accused of pressing the U.S. toward war. At its peak, it had 800,000 members across the country, included socialists, conservatives, and some of the most prominent Americans from some of the most prominent families. There was future President Ford; Sargent Shriver, who’d go on to lead the Peace Corps; and Potter Stewart, the future U.S. Supreme Court justice. It was funded by the families who owned Sears-Roebuck and the Chicago Tribune, but also counted among its ranks prominent anti-Semites of the day.

“It had to remove from its executive committee not only the notoriously anti-Semitic Henry Ford but also Avery Brundage, the former chairman of the U.S. Olympic Committee who had prevented two Jewish runners from the American track team in Berlin in 1936 from running in the finals of the 4x100 relay,” Susan Dunn, the historian, wrote on CNN last April.

But charges of anti-Semitism persisted, and were compounded with perhaps one of the most infamous speeches given by one of AFC’s most famous spokesmen, Charles Lindbergh. In a speech in Des Moines, Iowa, on September 11, 1941, Lindbergh expressed sympathy for the persecution Jews faced in Germany, but suggested Jews were advocating the U.S. to enter a war that was not in the national interest.

<snip>
“Instead of agitating for war, the Jewish groups in this country should be opposing it in every possible way for they will be among the first to feel its consequences,” Lindbergh said. “Tolerance is a virtue that depends upon peace and strength. History shows that it cannot survive war and devastations. A few far-sighted Jewish people realize this and stand opposed to intervention. But the majority still do not.

“Their greatest danger to this country lies in their large ownership and influence in our motion pictures, our press, our radio and our government.”

America's democracy has been exposed as one of the weakest in the world.

There was a time, not that long ago, when the United States was considered one of the strongest democracies in the world. That claim can no longer be credibly made.

The Trump presidency has shown our Legislative branch to be weak and passive, without the power to hold a reckless Executive in check. The Judicial Branch has allowed itself to become partisan and politicized.

The truth of the matter is that many of our institutions are teetering on the edge of collapse. Our once-vaunted Justice system no longer works for the law or for justice, but rather for a political Party. Partisanship and special interests are now calling the shots in our once-great democracy.

Many are still under the illusion that nothing has really changed. Once we get rid of Donald Trump and the Republicans and put the Democrats back in power, everything will return to normal. Unfortunately, the weaknesses have been exposed for all the world to see.

It may not be impossible to re-build our democracy, but it is going to be a huge task. There will need to be changes made at the very foundation of our government. Much of the present organization of government will need to be discarded and begun anew.

We are, by no means, out of the woods. Our democracy is under severe threat even as we speak.

Could you elaborate, Mr Trump?

So you think Russia should be back in the G-8? Why?

They were kicked out when they invaded and took over Crimea. What did you think about that Mr Trump?

What about their excursions and involvement in places like Syria, Venezuela, Ukraine, and all over Europe?

What is your opinion of Russia involving themselves with elections around the world, including your own?

What about them breaking the test ban treaty, the one signed by Gorbachev and Reagan?

What about Russia helping North Korea get around the sanctions placed on them by the US and the rest of the world?

What have they done to make you think they deserve to be part of the G-8 again?

Could you talk about that Mr Trump? We know the helicopter is waiting and we know you have to be brief.

Has Trump finally flipped his wig?

He's calling off visits to Denmark because they won't sell Greenland to him?

He calls Wayne LaPierre, the head of the NRA, to tell him that background checks are off the table?

He is in a name-calling feud with his one-time friend, Anthony Scaramucci?

He seems to be freaking out over the economy and the polls that show him behind almost every Democrat?

He's pushing for Russia to be re-admitted to the G-7?

He's accusing Jewish voters of being "disloyal" if they vote for Democrats?

He seems to be totally losing it?

He's running out of magic bullshit.

Is delaying impeachment the same as delaying justice?

It has been said that "justice delayed is justice denied". By delaying impeachment, and not beginning impeachment immediately after Mueller report, have the Democrats waited too long to hold Donald Trump accountable? Has that train already left the station?

Will the Democrats pay a political price for their indecision and lack of action? Is it now too late to impeach? Is the 2020 election our only hope of ridding ourselves of this criminal?

Is this a possible scenario after the election in November 2020?

Trump loses badly, in both popular vote and electoral vote.

But, he declares that it was rigged. He is having his Justice Dept and the FBI look at the results to see if they were legitimate?

He then says that he may call for another election since there are too many questions involved in the most recent election.

He says there are reports that millions of votes were not legal. He wants America to have fair elections but he will not surrender the office to people that have stolen it from the American people.

So people can be assured that the election is fair, he will call for a paper ballot for every vote cast and will request voters show an ID before they vote.

He says that he has no plan on staying in office but he cannot leave under so much uncertainty and chaos.

Between November's election day and January 20th, when he is scheduled to leave office, he will play coy. But two or three days before he is scheduled to leave, he will make an announcement.

He is going to stay in office until the proper authorities can certify that the election was legitimate and that the votes were not rigged against him. His followers support him whole-heartedly.

Have you thought this charlatan might try something like this?

A Tweet from the Bible:

2 Timothy 4:3-4

3 For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions, 4 and will turn away from listening to the truth and wander off into myths.
