As I recall, Trump changed his mind about going to Poland to meet the Ukraine president because he wanted to stay behind and monitor the hurricane that was threatening our East Coast.
What was the real reason he didn't go? He had talked with the Ukraine president by phone so there must have been some sort of deal discussed?
I don't recall any report at the time that he was going to Poland to meet the Ukraine president. I think we assumed he was going to meet the Polish leader?
Why Poland? Did Pence meet with another third Party that we have not heard about?
In hindsight, the trip to Poland looks somewhat different.
Hillary's E-mails 2.0
It worked before. Why wouldn't it work again?
One could envision them laughing about the unsophisticated voters that were distracted from Russia attacking our last election. It worked so beautifully. Instead of talking about Trump and Russia and their attack upon our election system, people were guided to talk about Hillary's emails.
Why not try it again?
Since Joe Biden looks like he might be the next opponent for Mr Trump, let's begin a character assassination campaign against him now. Let's extort the new Ukainian leader to investigate his son that sits on a board of a company that does business in the Ukraine. What else do we need? We can't tell you exactly what crime was committed but you know there had to be something fishy going on? Perhaps it's just another example of projection by Donald Trump?
So, now that a whistleblower has come forward to point out some very disturbing and criminal actions by Donald Trump, it is time to change the subject. It's time to talk about Joe Biden and his connections to the Ukraine. Forget about Trump and his criminal actions, his abuse of power from the highest office in the land.
Instead, let's talk about Biden and his connections in Ukraine, thru his son. Let's insinuate that there is something very shady going on. We can get Rudy Giuliani to get on TV and scream his shrill lies about how the President is innocent of all charges. Anyway, it's not a crime, he always reminds us.
They are seriously attempting to use their "Hillary emails" strategy again. Just wrapped in a different package.
Anybody that is waiting for the Republicans to see the light and vote with the Democrats...
...are seriously deluded.
It ain't gonna happen. They are riding this banana boat until they reach the golden shore.
So, let's put that out of our minds. The Republicans are not going to leave Trump and they are not going to agree with the Democrats.
Now, let's try to come up with another plan.
Is it a "cover-up"?
That the "acting" DNI, the Attorney General, and the President of the United States have derailed a "whistleblower" complaint and are preventing the Congress from access to the information?
We have always heard that the "cover-up" is worse than the crime. Perhaps the crime is so bad that it is beyond just embarrassing?
Otherwise, why would they go to such extremes to hide it?
This lawless Administration has subjugated the Senate and the Courts...
...and is looking to neutralize the House of Representatives.
The latest proof is how they outright assaulted the whistleblower statute with little or no opposition up to this point.
The Atty-General of the United States has thrown the American people under the bus so he can be the President's lawyer. He is now working hand in hand to obstruct the Congress and the laws of our country.
There has been a prolonged and consistent effort to take over all the workings of government, one branch and one government department at a time. They have filled almost all the important positions in government with sycophants and "acting" or temporary personnel.
This takeover has been aggressive and daring. The House of Representatives is all that is left between the people and their democracy. Let us hope the Democrats in Congress understand the solemn seriousness of the crisis we are now experiencing.
Ukraine is NOT the story?
We have learned to be very skeptical of this Administration and recognize their ability to manipulate the news media.
Rep. Jackie Spier (D-CA) was on CNN this morning and said that the IG never mentioned Ukraine in their closed hearing yesterday? They still do not know what was in the whistleblower's charge.
The timeline would suggest that the Ukraine story was not the primary concern of the whistleblower when he went to the IG on August 12th. The timeline that was shown on CNN, showed that Trump's demands to the Ukraine leader happened in late August? It was then that the Congress became very suspicious of withholding funds from the Ukraine and why?
But, it has been reported elsewhere that there was more than one incident that was reported by the whistleblower. This Ukraine story may be only a small part of the bigger picture? It's hard to imagine Trump making a deal with the Ukraine leader without Vladimir Putin being involved also.
This may be nothing more than a diversion from a much bigger story?
This may be only a creation of the Trump propaganda machine?

Do you think we will have a record turn-out in 2020 election?
People will be so fired up that we may hit 60-70% turnout?
People are pissed off and they will get their revenge at the polls?
Or...
Will people be so beaten down that they will just blow it off?
I think there is a danger of the latter. The average voter may turn it off, tune it out, and turn on?
We hope that doesn't happen but we don't really know.
Bill Barr's Great Betrayal
His first mistake was in his ideology. He believed that the President of the United States could not break the law. He executed the laws.
He didn't really care whether the President was guilty of any of the charges in the Mueller Report. It didn't matter to him. He did not believe that the President could be charged with any crimes.
He took it upon himself to protect the President over the people. He became the President's lawyer. He totally abdicated all responsibilities as the Attorney General of the United States.
He may not have understood the depth of the cesspool he was wading into, but it does not excuse his words or his actions.
He has betrayed his country and the laws he was sworn to protect and defend.
