How much does US Attorney John Durham know about the Russia investigation?

Bill Barr recently announced that he wanted him to stay on as Special Counsel in the continuing Russia investigation.

Is that a bad idea? Why?

Would he not be working under the new Attorney General?

How much does he know about Trump Administration involvement with Russia hacking into America's election system?

Just before the election in November, he let Barr know that there was nothing to be found in their "Obamagate" investigation. Trump never forgave either of them for that decision.

Wouldn't you like to pick his brain and find out what he knows? Or do you think he is too close to Trump and Barr?

The Bending Reality

An election is one way we keep track of reality. We count the votes and follow the will of the people. It's called democracy. It's not perfect but it is the best form of government we have discovered thus far. There is no perfect government.

But, when we are told to ignore the voters, to ignore the will of the people, we are distorting reality. It is a dangerous road when people lie about the numbers, the facts, and the process. We cannot permit demagogues to say that black is white, that up is down, or that two plus two equals five.

Truth, as best as we can know it, is the North Star of humanity. When we choose to take a detour, we end up in an unknown place. We cannot ignore reality.

There are people and forces that wish us to believe that the facts are otherwise. Because they believe it without proof or evidence. That is not truth. That is delusion.

That is where our country is being led. We are told the election was "rigged". There is no evidence, only rhetoric and inflamed emotions, bent on preserving power and destroying our democracy.

You say you want a revolution?

Keep up the lies.

81 million voters are the majority and, in a democracy, the majority rules unless we count only electoral votes. Then, in that case, 306 electoral votes is a landslide, according to Donald Trump himself.

So, cut the crap.

The voters have spoken. Stop lying and stop believing the lies.

The lies are about to hit the wall.

I think Loeffler's aggressive attacks on Warnock will backfire on her with GA voters.

She threw everything but the kitchen sink at him.

I guess they thought the best defense is a good offense.

And she really has no defense for her record.

I believe the people of GA will see it for what it was.

Trump is intent on maintaining control of the Republican Party.

At this time, he doesn't seem to have much opposition.

He may leave the White House but he will not leave the Republican Party. They will have to kiss his ring at Mar-a-Lago if they want his support in the future. They have sold their souls to Donald Trump.

He will keep them guessing. Will he run again in 2024 or not? The odds are that he will not.

However, he will use them to raise funds to pay off his bills and to keep his brand in the spotlight, as he makes all kinds of deals all round the world.

The Republicans have made their bed and now they will have to sleep in it.

Tomorrow, Justice Alito wants to look at evidence from a PA lawsuit.

The Trump campaign has been trying mightily to get a case to the Supreme Court. Alito has promised to take a look at their case.

Tomorrow is also the deadline of the "Safe Harbor" rule. All the discrepancies and controversies should be resolved and electors chosen.

It is an important date, before the official electors vote on December 14th. The sand is about out of the hourglass.

Bill Barr lost Trump when he did not come thru with "Obamagate"

For years, Trump and his supporters were anticipating convictions of Obama and others for "spying" on his campaign. Their hopes were high.

Then a month or so before the election, Barr announces that there is no evidence to pursue Obama any further. US Attorney John Durham had found nothing. Trump supporters were deflated.

Today, Barr announces that he is "considering" leaving the Administration. Trump is likely "considering" firing him? They are playing the usual Trump game, "No, I wasn't fired, I quit".

But, if Barr wants to resign, he had better do it quickly.

To most Americans, it doesn't matter when he leaves. Good riddance!

Faster Horses

It is understandable to have faith in a religion.

There are many people of faith. They believe in their God by faith alone. They do not require evidence from God.

However, a court of law cannot go on faith alone. It must have evidence. Word alone is not proof.

In my opinion, this is where a lot of Trump supporters become confused? They tend to have "faith" in people like Rudy Giuliani and Donald Trump without seeing any evidence.

They confuse the rule of God with the rule of Law.

One cannot walk before a court of law and make demands and allegations, without evidence. One cannot say, "They cheated, but I don't have any proof."

Elections are not decided by faith. They are decided by voters.

The Curse of 2020

As if the deadly pandemic was not enough, as we close in very quickly on 300,000 deaths, America is cursed with a psychotic breakdown with almost half its population.

They are clinging to the rantings of a madman that refuses to turn loose the levers of power in our democracy. He lost in a landslide and refuses to leave or to admit that he lost. In the biggest salesjob in history, he is attempting to persuade elected Republicans to overturn the will of the voters.

As millions of people face hunger and unemployment, we see new breadlines with people in cars. We are still not yet officially into winter.

The rule of law has broken down as politics rule the day.

As America has lost respect around the world, it appears to be slipping into Third World status? The world scratches its head in puzzlement.

As wise men have noted, we are reaping what we have sown.
