100,000 is not an acceptable number. It is a disaster.

Stop the political game.

We are in the middle of an epidemic. This is no time to play politics. Stop saying that 100,000 is the number of deaths we can expect under "perfect conditions".

We are all threatened by this virus. We want it stopped. There is no acceptable number for the deaths to come. Don"t make up any arbitrary number for political reasons. It is wrong and immoral.

If they did such a good job at stopping the traffic from China and other countries, how did this virus get into our country?

What specifically caused this virus to be so widespread?

For example:

"If there are only a half-million deaths from this crisis, and since some experts have said there could be over two million, would you see that as a success?"

(Knowing that he is going to attempt to portray the number of dead as a victory)

I think the reporters need to really prepare and work on their questions. They need to ask questions that anticipate his answers.

I think they need to trap him in his lies and disinformation if he wants to continue these charades of news conferences.

That is an eye-popping statistic!

The latest numbers that I saw reported was that there were 788,000+ around the world and 160,000+ in the U.S.

And to think, we have done nowhere the testing that some countries have done.

That is the reality as we know it.

Many that post on DU are older citizens and many have some pre-existing serious conditions.

So, it is natural and realistic, in my opinion, to think such thoughts.

But, if we all eat a lot of natural Vitamin C and keep our immune system as strong as possible, we may be able to survive this monster.

Don't give up. We need you.

I would bet a dollar to a donut that he has talked with her in private.

He has persuaded her to tell the people that "under perfect conditions", we could expect 100,000 - 200,000 dead from this epidemic.

He must always create a narrative where no matter what happens, it is not his fault. This is his "alternative reality".

We know already that he is going to claim a great victory over this battle with the coronavirus.

Even if "only" a million people die, he will say that the experts predicted 2.2 million might die in the pandemic.

No matter what the number might be, he will be able to convince his cult of supporters that it is a great victory. It is already written in the cards for him.

The reality is something else.

That is the dilemma facing the American people.

Nothing will get better so long as Donald Trump is the President of the United States.

Self-deception and propaganda is not going to change that fact.

He is a threat to everyone, not just Democrats.

Everything he does is directed toward the election in November. Nothing else is important. This epidemic is simply a nuisance. He cannot stop playing politics and dividing our country into "his side" and "their side". That is all he knows.

He is planning how he is going to spin this epidemic for him. Even if 200,000 people die because of his negligence and foot-dragging, he will call it a great victory. After all, his great doctors and advisers told him there might be over two million people die from the virus. With his leadership, he was able to save about two million lives. He will be so proud of himself.

He will repeat it about ten-thousand times between now and election day in November. His supporters will hear it in their sleep.

No matter where the economy is or what the unemployment rate is in November, he will say that he had the greatest economy in the world before the virus, which he has now defeated in a great victory, hit our country. He will still blame it on the Chinese.
