"Fair and Balanced" News Network or State Propagandists?

They like to call themselves "fair and balanced" and the answer to the "mainstream media" and the "fake news".

But the latest texts made public by the Select Committee showed them to be in the pockets of the former president and his autocratic goals.

There were no texts from NBC or ABC or CBS or MSNBC hosts to Mark Meadows on January 6th, as far as we know. But there were several from the hosts of FOX News. They had a direct line to the White House. They showed themselves to be propagandists for the wannabe dictator in the White House.

There is nothing fair and balanced about their reporting. Their goal is to deceive their viewers. They are nothing more than state propagandists.

Will the DOJ make Meadows an offer he can't refuse?

An offer of immunity?

He will be given a choice - they will ask for the maximum penalty under law if he refuses to cooperate and give up the information that has been requested by the Congressional Committee.

Or they will offer immunity if he agrees to testify to the truth of what happened on and before January 6th.

No doubt, Mr Meadows will have a big decision to make. Does he stick with his Master and go to jail for a year or does he cooperate with the DOJ?

Does he really want to be the fall guy for Trump and the Republican Party?

The cover-up begins in earnest.

Everything is Democrat vs Republican.

Nothing has any merit unless it has a D or an R by its name.

That is the reality.

The partisanship is white hot.

There is no doubt but that Republicans cannot wait until they are back in power so they can subpoena Democrats for any trivial reason they can think up. They will do it because they can.

Democrats have to adapt to the present partisan environment and understand that they cannot expect any support from the Republicans at this time, no matter how righteous their cause.

They cannot look for bi-partisan support in any manner in regards to the January 6th investigation and prosecution. They must do it alone.

Another viewpoint on the "inflation" problem:

In my opinion, instead of inflated prices, we will soon experience deflated pricing.

The present inflation is tied directly to the Covid pandemic and the supply issues created by it.

Inventories were stockpiled and backed up in our ports when commerce was effectively shut down over large parts of our economy.

There was a shortage of drivers to unlock the bottlenecks at our ports.

People could not get the supplies they wanted and the prices went up. That is where we get the present inflation.

However, and it is starting already, when the bottlenecks are cleared up and the supplies are moving at a full pace, there will be an over-abundance of products for people to buy.

This will cause the prices to go down and we will experience deflation within the next couple of years, would be my prediction.

Will the Committee subpoena the FOX News people?

Who continued to lie to the American people, after they had expressed so much concern when the attack upon our Capitol was happening?

Did they think they had the "influence" to force Trump to make a decision they wanted?

Why did they continue the "Big Lie" when they could so clearly see the results of their campaign to spread it?

Why did they think Donald Trump was the only person that could stop it? (Did they believe the mob was following his orders?)

In my opinion, it would be a service to America if they put these lying propagandists under oath.

Why were FOX News hosts and Republican congresspeople sending emails to Meadows..?

...asking him to get POTUS to stop the rioting?

Sometimes the most simple and obvious answer is the correct one.

Because they believed he was the only person that could stop it. They didn't ask that he get Mike Pence or anyone else to stop it. They knew who the mob would respond to.

The person they believed responsible for the mob was Donald Trump. Only he could control it.

That was the underlying message in all the emails, including those of his own son, Don Jr. "He needs to stop this shit, ASAP".

Why would they ask for Trump to stop it unless they thought he was the only one that could stop it?

Because he was the leader of the mob, from beginning to end.

How many Republicans will vote to hold Mark Randall Meadows in contempt?

Personally, I will be surprised if there are more than two.

What will we be able to glean from that vote today?

First of all, it will show that the Republican Party is still firmly in the control of Donald Trump. No doubt, they will argue that the Committee is about "going after Trump", not about Mark Meadows.

That is why the DOJ should prosecute people like Meadows and Bannon to the max. Republicans don't really care about these folks. They only care about Trump.

It would be nice to see a few Republicans follow the law, but don't hold your breath.

I was watching Nicolle Wallace's show and they did a commercial for Morning Joe and Joe was bellowing out the above quote.

Why?

Why do Democrats have to hold Republicans accountable??

Shouldn't Republicans be holding their own accountable?

Shouldn't Republicans be insisting that the DOJ hold the criminals accountable, regardless of Party?

The country needs the Republicans to wake up and get involved, or to borrow a phrase from Donald Trump, they won't have a country to save.

It's time for Republicans to stop looking to the Democrats to save this country and to get involved themselves.

The criminals are hiding behind the Republican Party. If there are Republicans that are concerned about our democracy and our country, they need to stand up at this time and stop depending on the Democrats alone to save this country.
