What did Ron DeSantis do at the Quantanamo prison camp?

I have heard no witnesses or first-hand accounts from anyone that knew him while he was there?

Did he participate in any "torture" activities?

What did he do at Quantanamo?

A Basic Starting Point: How serious was the attack upon our Capitol?

Was it more of a misdemeanor than a criminal act? Some would argue that it was no big deal.

That is where the discussion should begin, in my opinion.

What was the intent of the attack? Was it to stop the count of the electoral votes and to declare Donald Trump the president?

Why did some plead guilty to seditious conspiracy?

Some were like a bunch of drunks that lost their ability to reason. They were there to have a good time.

Now they all rationalize that they did nothing wrong. What they did was patriotic.

Is that a bunch of bullshit?

*We should not overlook the fact that everyone in the Capitol felt threatened with violence. Some feared for their lives.

If Trump was to win presidency in 2024, he would be 5 months older than Joe Biden....

...when Biden took office.

Biden was born November 20th, 1942 and Trump was born June 14th, 1946.

That means Trump would be older than Biden when sworn into office, for what it's worth.

However, if truth be told, most folks did not expect Biden to run for a second term. They thought he would step aside for Kamala Harris, his VP. He ran because most Democrats thought he was the only person that could defeat Trump in 2020.

But now, most folks see Biden as a very successful President - not only domestically, but in foreign policy as well, with his handling of the Ukraine crisis, up to this point. He was able to unite NATO against the Russian aggression and was able to create a record number of jobs at home, as well as bring inflation under control. He has an excellent record to run on.

But we do see that age is a factor in most polls that are taken. In a recent poll, 77% thought Biden was "too old". Age is relative, however. In my opinion, Joe Biden is much sharper and in better shape than Trump at this time. So age should not be a factor in any race between Biden and Trump.

In my opinion, if Trump is tried and convicted before the next election, Joe Biden should consider stepping aside for another candidate. But, if Trump is still in the running, then Biden should be ready to defeat him once again.

Just my opinion. I know it is a controversial subject.

He says, "I done nothing wrong".

But, he did.

He lies a lot. In fact, almost every utterance. The Washington Post stopped counting his "lies" or misstatements after he reached about 30,000. He lies about everything.

Did he do anything "wrong"? Other than try to steal an election, and then, when that appeared to fail, try to overthrow the government, and then steal nuclear and military secrets on his way out the door, other than that, did he do anything "wrong"?

It was "wrong" to divide the country the way he did. It was "wrong" to continue to do business with Russia and other autocrats after he was elected, despite the obvious emoluments clause violations in the Constitution.

He has 91 charges against him at present. He did not get those by doing nothing "wrong".

It is not a "political" thing as he is so desperate to portray. It is not about Democrat vs Republican. It is a criminal thing and he is being held to account.

His lies have worn thin with most Americans and he will be called to answer for what he did "wrong".

"Stand back and stand by!"

That is what Donald Trump said in one of his debates with Joe Biden, before the election, when asked what he would say to the Proud Boys. He did not tell them to "Stand down!".

He told them to "Stand back and stand by!".

And today the Proud Boys were sentenced. One of them, after the Judge had left the Court Room yelled, "Trump won!". This was right after he had been sentenced to 10 years in prison.

The question is, how close is the former president to the Proud Boys? Would they have come to our Capitol on January 6th if they had not been encouraged by Donald Trump?

Almost all of them were convicted of seditious conspiracy.

It did not happen in a vacuum.

Should Trump's trial be severed from the other 18 co-defendants?

Would not the other 18 defendants be like witnesses against him?

What incentive would they have to protect Trump if they were in a separate trial?

Even if Trump gets a separate trial, it's hard to see how it might benefit him, except for a somewhat short delay?

Do you think the Judge will sever Trump's trial from the others?

For those that do not believe the FBI, the Judges, the Prosecutors, the Law, the Constitution.....

....the facts, or the evidence, but believe Donald Trump, I have a question.

Are you crazy?

When did you lose your mind?

When did you begin to lose your ability to tell the difference between shit and shinola?

Why don't you stick your head in a bucket of cold water and see if that helps?

How big is the "criminal enterprise"?

And how long has the Republican Party been a part of it?

Although he may be a key part of it, it is much larger than Donald J Trump.

In my opinion, it is a worldwide operation, primarily run by oligarchs around the world.

The goal and the cornerstone of their existence is to make money and to destroy all those that stand in their way. Morality does not play a part in their business model.

In recent years, led by Vladimir Putin, their primary goal has been to tear down the democracies in the world.

International crime is their trademark. Money-laundering, extortion, prostitution, illegal banking, even murder. There are no limits to their power grab.

Their goal was, and still is, to tear down American democracy. They finally got their perfect tool with Donald Trump. He was more than willing to tear down our democracy and to prop up the international criminals, especially Putin.

So long as his greed was satisfied, he was willing to do anything they wanted. He was able to recruit the Republican Party to do all his dirty work. They are still helping him. They have become a major player in the international crime network, in my opinion.

The international crime network has grown into the biggest threat in the world against struggling democracies, even long-established democracies, such as our own.

I think the "criminal enterprise" is much larger than any of us ever imagined.

Sixteen Tons

Democracy is not dead, yet.

The dictators around the world are watching the prosecution of Donald Trump very closely. Because he was one of them.

He never thought he would ever be indicted for anything. He thought he was above the law. He had no fear in cozying up to Putin and Kim Jung Un. He scoffed at the laws.

But now, he has been indicted 4 times and is charged with 91 criminal counts. The dictators know that if it can happen to Trump, it can happen to them. They cannot bear to have their citizens getting any bright ideas about democracy and things like justice and accountability.

The people around the world are watching what America does. Can they hold the criminal enterprise accountable for their crimes?

It will be a good day for the world when democracy triumphs over the dictators. We should all hope for the day that Donald Trump is locked away for the crimes he has committed.

It could be the re-birth of democracy.
