We are having mud season in December here in New Hampshire.

It's going to be in the 50's this week. No snow and only a dusting so far this season. This is not normal at all.

I firmly believe that President Biden should have made the securing of voting rights and

fair elections the top priority on his agenda, even before the BBB Act and he and the Democrats in Congress should be moving to abolish or make exceptions to the filibuster to accomplish that. My reasoning is that as long as Republicans believe that they can rig elections, they will not care about doing the will of the people or cooperating with Democrats and, because of that, Biden may never accomplish his agenda.

I am seeing all of these posts today of animals being kind and it breaks my heart to

realize that they put some humans in this country to shame.

How does she do it?

I hope that somebody "who was there" will someday explain how Nancy Pelosi does what she does. It is truly remarkable.

There can no longer be any question that the Republican congress wants the end

of this American democracy. No question at all. The voting rights and Bannon votes were their nails in our coffin. We need to move forward now with that ugly fact in mind and face the fact that the 2022 mid-term elections will be the most consequential elections in the history of this Republic. We need to quit talking and go to ground.

Just an observation...

People in the service business are so blown away by the constant barrage of nasty, growling, yelling customers that it seems all you have to do is smile, say "please" and "thank you" and "have a good day" and you are instantly a rock star or some very welcome, alien creature from another planet. Sad, sad, sad.

I need some advice on my cat.

Last night we discovered that my 15 year old cat had an open wound on her shoulder. We thought it might be an animal bite (she an outside cat, a rescue) but it also looks like it may be a cyst that broke. It doesn't seem to be bleeding. The cat is cleaning it and doesn't seem to be in any pain.

She was in and out of bed with me last night and was purring. We can't find her today. We have been careful about doors so I don't think she got out. We have checked all over the house and can't find her. The plan was to take her to the vet first thing tomorrow morning.

It is not unusual for her to retreat to the basement when people are here besides me, and my son and 8 year old granddaughter were here yesterday and last night, so I'm not surprised that she hid, but she should be back in circulation by now since they have left.

Any thoughts?

I'm boostered! Got my third shot yesterday. No reaction at all. It's

like I never got the shot. That's a good sign, isn't it?

Covid Shot and Fle Shot Together - Info from my Doctor

I recently emailed my Doc to ask if it was ok for me to get the Covid Booster and Flu shot together. The answer I got was that other vaccines should not be taken within 14 days of the Covid shot. This was news to me and not what I have heard elsewhere, so I thought I should pass the information on. Doctors may differ on this so you should check with your own.

Poster #7 below is worth reading because he/she points out that my Doc's advice is different from the CDC and others.
