If a Republican wants to get money out of politics

Then that Republican is my ally on that issue.

If Darth Vader wants Americans to have single payer healthcare, then he is my ally on that issue.

That's how politics works. All those fools who think that it matters one bit that Sanders isn't technically a member of the Democratic party, or that TH has one of his shows on a particular network, or that TYT once took a check from a Republican, think that the people here on DU aren't smart enough to recognize allies in our struggle for economic justice, our fight for healthcare, our campaign for human rights.

They think you are too stupid to recognize your allies.

They are trying to split our coalition, one little splinter at a time.

So, use your brains. Think about what people say, _and_ about who signs their paychecks. Recognize allies. Promote good policy, even if (especially if) it is coming from directions where bad policy usually comes.

TH has had a show on RT for what, like ten years? And yet every time I hear his show, I hear good policy that I agree with. Sanders has always been an independent. And yet he espouses good policy. That makes these people allies, especially on those specific issues.

Please don't be so dumb as to fall for this divisive nonsense. Think.

The RT network is the only network that has propaganda

You'll never hear any opinions that are dangerous to our country on Fox, or Breitbart, or CNBC, or NBC, ABC, CBS, Sinclair, Viacom, Comcast, Time Warner. They are, or are owned by, huge multinational corporations that are often also war racketeers. So you can listen to and trust everything you hear on those networks. But make sure you never listen to or watch anything on RT, because that's where all the propaganda is.

Do I have that right now? That's the message of the week? Just making sure my two minutes hate is aimed properly in the right direction.

Say what you will about Democratic voters, but they have a habit of picking

extremely smart, capable, and humane leaders for president.

Carter, Clinton, Obama, all seem to be excellent, really intelligent, and humane humans. President in exile Hillary Clinton also fits that mold.

Even our nominees are great - Gore, Kerry, even Mondale and Dukakis are smart, very cool human beings (or were).

What I'm saying is, Democratic voters have been doing our jobs, taking care and picking excellence for the top position, for 30 years.

Meanwhile, the Republican voters bring us a cavalcade of dumb (Reagan, W, Shartcannon) and evil (Nixon, Bush I, Shartcannon). We need to find a way to sue them for negligence and damage to our country.

Stop electing evil morons, Republicans.

Also, I see no need to debate our next nominee much - Democrats have a great track record of choosing people excellent for the job.

My favorite discussion of morality and why it needs no god

Notice the beauty of Matt's definition of morality, and the objective assessments that can come out of it once we agree on its basis.

The morals=god argument is laid bare in just a few minutes

This post by Atrios sums up the conversation pretty well:

The Conversation

The Center: We are very pragmatic and sensible and know how to win elections.

The Left: You lost them all.

The Center: but Russia. Also, what have you won?

The Left: ...

Take either side, but..
