(Medal of Freedom awardee) Tiger, girlfriend named in wrongful death lawsuit

Tiger Woods, restaurant manager Erica Herman, who is Woods' girlfriend, and The Woods restaurant in Jupiter, Florida, are being sued for the wrongful death of an employee, who after working a shift in December drank alcohol at the restaurant before being killed in a car crash.

Nicholas Immesberger had a blood alcohol reading of .256

Immesberger was a bartender at The Woods, and the suit alleges that Woods, Herman and other employees were aware that Immesberger had a drinking problem but regularly overserved him during and after his work shifts.

The lawsuit alleges that Woods and Herman were "drinking with him at The Woods bar only a few nights before the fatal crash of December 10, 2018.''

Sadly, it hasn't quite worked out that way.

A few years back, when social media was in its infancy and people were thinking about its potential to change the world, we imagined all the ways that it would help to bring us together. Easy and instant communication with people from all over the planet would surely break down the artificial borders constructed between us, and lead to greater cultural exchange, mutual understanding and a shared humanity that could help us to solve the bigger global problems that affect us all.

Sadly, it hasn’t quite worked out that way.

Hearing delayed for 900-pound drug defendant after he is diverted to hospital en route to court

A hearing for a cocaine conspiracy defendant who reportedly weighs 900 pounds was delayed Monday after he was diverted to VCU Medical Center en route to the federal courthouse in downtown Richmond.

Novak revoked Hicks’ bond Monday and directed that for Hicks’ own safety and dignity — he is unable to wear clothing — that he appear in the loading dock of the East Broad Street courthouse for proceedings next Tuesday. It is expected that he will arrive via ambulance.

If it proved necessary to protect his safety, authorities were permitted to open a large hole in the wall of the structure in order to facilitate the use of a device capable of lifting the defendant’s weight. They were also authorized to remove a ramp near his doorway, as well as trees on the property and even of parts of the ceiling.

Next Tuesday’s hearing in the loading dock, set for 1:30 p.m., will be open to the public, as it would in a courtroom. However, anyone wishing to attend must check in with the U.S. Marshals Service 15 minutes prior to the hearing, Novak said.

GOT fans - hilarious spinoff idea. Arya and The Hound as a buddies TV show

The Tense Friendship Between Arya Stark and the Hound Reimagined as a 1980s TV Sitcom Spinoff

**i can't find this on YouTube. The video is at the link below.**

Filmmaker Lance Krall of Picture It Productions quite clevery reimagined the rather precarious and quite unlikely friendship between Arya Stark (Maisie Williams) and Sandor “The Hound” Clegane (Rory McCann) as the perfect entry for a Game of Thrones spinoff in the style of a very 1980s buddy sitcom.

Aptly entitled, “Arya and The Hound”, the imagined title sequence features a montage of happier times in their relationship as they worked together as a team. Krall also made brilliant use of the perfectly suited Jim Croce song “I Got a Name” as the opening theme.

72 year old crossed the Atlantic Ocean in a "barrel". With pics.

He Crossed the Atlantic in a Barrel. We Asked Him About Dodging Ships and Using ‘La Toilette.’

The French adventurer Jean-Jacques Savin spent over four months alone, floating across the Atlantic Ocean. “It’s freedom,” he said.

On a journey across the Atlantic Ocean, the French adventurer Jean-Jacques Savin spent 127 days alone in a large, barrel-shaped capsule made of plywood, at the mercy of the winds and currents. He had no television. No Facebook or Twitter.

In December, Mr. Savin, a former military parachutist, pilot and park ranger in Africa, set sail from the Canary Islands, the Spanish archipelago west of Morocco, in the orange vessel he built. It measures about 10 feet long and 6 feet 8 inches wide.

What were your happiest moments during the trip?

When the American oceanic vessel Ronald Brown [the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s research vessel Ronald H. Brown] came after 62 days to refuel me.

Guns? Yep Girard Damien Saenz has some. LAPD finds over 1,000.

Police seize over a thousand guns, piles of ammunition from Los Angeles home

Saenz, who was living in the home alone, was booked for unlawful transportation and giving, lending or selling assault weapons. Additional charges may be added later, including federal charges, authorities said. He is being held on $50,000 bond.

"I had never seen so many weapons in my career of 31 years," said LAPD Lt. Chris Ramirez. "That's such a big arsenal in a residence like this, in this type of neighborhood. It's astounding."

Holmby Hills is bordered by the Beverly Hills and Bel Air neighborhoods and is home to the late Aaron Spelling's massive $85 million mansion and the Playboy Mansion.

Saenz apparently was licensed to own weapons -- and there is no prohibition on the number of guns a person can own -- but the person was selling the guns illegally, according to police.
