Hey! Who turned his campaign launch week into another "Infrastructure Week"?

Oh that's right, he did.

Boy, the air went out of that balloon like the safety pin malfunctioned.

WEAK. Frankly Trump calling off this attack is bad.

I post this not as rooting against him, we all know he's horrible. POTUS's don't do this. You don't un-pull the trigger.*

I don't advocate for violence or the escalation that would clearly follow but you don't back off an attack after approving it. It makes him (or really a mid level management type reversing course on something) as flippant, erratic, immature.....and in Trump's case like a bully who showed his true weakness.

He provoked this starting with getting out of the deal a year ago. Since then he's poked and provoked and flustered about it. The consistent thinking on this is that Iran's actions of late have been expected in response to Trump's (Bolton/Pompeo) rhetoric and moves.

This link includes audio (at another link) of Sen. Kaine on NPR yesterday morning stating that in a briefing the prior day even CJC Gen Dunford and Pentagon brass agreed that Trump has escalated this himself and that Iran's responses were expected.

The immediate questions are as I see it:
1. Is he really this erratic?
2. Did he reverse course because of domestic intervention (CJC Gen. Dunford) or international (Putin's annual Q&A last night)?
3. HOW weakened does this make us look?

*on edit - I just thought of that. Yeah coffee!

Philosophical question - What does "Real Peanut Butter" mean?

As I was avoiding a 3pm crash (so I could be productive...like now) I saw the label on these deLISHeeous M&’s and it got me to thinking.

What does that mean “Real Peanut Butter”? I mean there’s a process to make peanut butter sure but don’t the ingredients count more than the process?

I think little red guy is trying to tip us off that’s its a truck.

Okay. Back to the TPS reports.

This little piggie is NOT going to market - trade war hits PORK

Trump tariffs crush U.S. pig farmers

https://www.politico.com/story/2019/06/19/trump-tariffs-us-pig-farmers-1538546

China would not normally be able to satisfy its consumer demand for pork, even before the epidemic of African swine fever has cut the nation’s pig population in half. Farmers in the United States would, normally, step in to help fill the gap.

But in retaliation to the tariffs placed on Chinese imports by President Donald Trump, pork going to China from the U.S. now faces a 62 percent levy, essentially making American products too expensive for consumers in China. It’s also leaving exporters frustrated that they cannot take advantage of a prime opportunity to gain long-term access to a lucrative market.

“To put it another way, nothing like this has happened since we’ve had data to record such things,” said Feng Yonghui, chief researcher at Soozhu.com, a website for the pork industry.

Lost opportunity
All those factors leave the U.S. in a position that should allow it to dominate the market, said Nick Giordano, vice president of the National Pork Producers Council. From a U.S. farmer’s perspective, this is “the single greatest sales opportunity in our industry’s history,” Giordano said.

Tech question about WiFi at work

I have a MiFi jet pack provided to me by my employer. Obviously using my phone on it is way faster than LTE and saves on my data plan.

When I connect to it on my personal phone (don’t have a company phone) it says that a device has been connected.

Will the MiFi track what sites I go to?

No I’m not going anywhere I shouldn’t. I’m just not sure how DU would look if this thing does track WHERE I go on the inter webs.
