Is Mike Tyson going to punch a shark?

For some reason, Mike Tyson is going head-to-head with 'Jaws' in a Shark Week special, and he says it helped conquer his fear of a much-hyped comeback

Mike Tyson is set to go toe-to-fin with the sea's apex predator as part of Shark Week on the Discovery Channel — because why not.

In a special episode dubbed "Rumble On The Reef" that airs on August 9, Tyson will "square off underwater" against a shark "in the name of research," reports Entertainment Weekly.

Though it's unclear how Tyson and the shark will interact, the boxing icon said he agreed to the show to help overcome his fears of making a comeback to the ring.

"I learned from this experience doing Shark Week that whatever intimidates me, I am still able to step up to the challenge of overcoming anything," Tyson said.

Study Finds Universal Mask Use Could Cut U.S. Coronavirus Deaths By 67%

https://www.theonion.com/study-finds-universal-mask-use-could-cut-u-s-coronavir-1844471227

Research ...... shows that widespread use of masks could cut the projected daily coronavirus case count by 63% and daily death toll by 67%, but it would require at least 95% of Americans wear masks when in public. What do you think?

“Thanks, but if I was in the habit of listening to scientists, we wouldn’t be having this discussion in the first place.”
DAVID RUTTER • RECESSION FORECASTER

“This Universal Mask sounds incredibly powerful”
PATTY BLUFF • UNEMPLOYED

“What a roundabout way to let Americans know they’re doomed.”

Dr. Anthony Fauci is throwing out the first pitch of the baseball season tomorrow night.

Yeah this is sports but this is a really good article on several aspects of how baseball is going to try to do this. From “horny dudes on the road” to teams quarantining 30 minor leaguers in case they need replacements.

So, they're actually gonna do this, huh?

Yup. At 7 p.m. ET on Thursday, Dr. Anthony Fauci will throw out the first pitch at Nationals Park, and soon thereafter, Max Scherzer will fire the first actual pitch of the 2020 season to leadoff hitter DJ LeMahieu as the reigning champion Washington Nationals host the New York Yankees. Three hours later, Clayton Kershaw will face Johnny Cueto as the World Series favorite Los Angeles Dodgers entertain their rivals, the San Francisco Giants. On Friday, the 26 other teams will play their first of 60 games.

Baseball- Toronto Blue Jays to play home games in Pittsburgh

Canada's government denied the Blue Jays' request to play in Toronto because the regular-season schedule would require frequent travel from the United States, where COVID-19 cases are surging. The other 29 major league teams plan to play the pandemic-shortened, 60-game season in their home ballparks, without fans.

The schedules for the Pirates and Blue Jays match up almost perfectly. Aside from July 29, they don't have a home game on the same date until Sept. 7. The Blue Jays are scheduled to host Washington -- where they play their previous series -- on July 29, but they theoretically could stay in Washington to play their scheduled two-game home series.

Blue Jays manager Charlie Montoyo said he was excited about the PNC Park option, and Pirates manager Derek Shelton said he would have no problem with the Blue Jays moving in. The Pirates are led by former Blue Jays executive Ben Cherington.

Baltimore also had been considered as a possible host site, outfielder Randal Grichuk said Tuesday, as had the team's Triple-A affiliate in Buffalo, New York. Grichuk, however, said the players wanted to play in a major league stadium.

The Office - "Broccoli Rob" is based on broccoli rabe???

Watching the Food Network. My daughter and I had NO IDEA. We thought it was one of those The Office jokes you were supposed to fill in for yourself (made The Office what it was).

No idea.
Mom says she knew - we blame her for not telling us ALL THESE YEARS.
