calimary
calimary's JournalYeah. And what does THAT tell you?
And who are they targeting - over whom to assert their supremacy? Or dominance/domination? Or indeed even ownership? Who are they attempting to control and suppress? Over whom do they assert their mastery?
Absolutely EXQUISITE!!!
"...that vile, inflatable Macys parade balloon of dogsh*t, Tucker Carlson..."
BREATHTAKING!!!!!!
Certainly speaks for me!
Yes. REPEATEDLY. And the cleverness thing.
Note how - well - "cutesy" it is. "Start the Steal"! Or, "It's not 'Stop the Steal,' it's 'START the Steal!'" But the thing is - it's catchy. It's memorable. It makes you seem fun and clever when you say it or spread it around. And somebody who hears or sees your use of it might think it's catchy enough to pass along, themselves. It IS fun. Notice the alliteration. Stop the Steal - that WE hijack and turn it into EQUALLY clever alliterative play, OUR WAY, with START the Steal!
Besides, just the fact that YOU turned THEIR talking point around - and on its head - and made it mean something more advantageous to YOUR point of view - gets extra points. There ISN'T a "Steal" to stop. They're STARTING a "Steal" with this shit, or trying awfully hard to. You're actually using their own words to tell the truth.
Just always remember to use it in the proper context. CLEARLY specify that it's what the Republicans are doing, what the GOP is trying to pull off, what the right/far right is hoping to sneak through. Make doggedly sure at EVERY mention that this is pegged to the OTHER guys, NOT Democrats. NOT liberals. NOT progressives. Etc. Republicans/the GOP/CONservatives/right/far right/extreme righ/extremist, and so forth. "...the GOP's bogus 'Stop the Steal' scheme...", "...that Republican 'Stop the Steal' baloney...", "...Stop the Steal' is the latest conservative/Repub/GOP/far right/extremist schtick..." and so forth. A clever slogan will stick in the mind, might more easily get repeated, and might either fortify or positively change or improve or enlighten their the point-of-view. Or at least make 'em think!
Btw, personally, I actually LOVE "Stop the Steal schtick". All those "S's"! I LOVE word tricks like alliteration and consonance! But it's hard to say! And your objective is looking/being smart and clever, and the last thing you need is to fumfer the line! Kills the whole point you were trying to make. And worse, THAT'S what they'll remember. How you blew the line, not the message you'd crafted so strategically and carefully and intended to deliver.
THIS.
That's EXACTLY it. The wish to dominate.
Cruel, selfish, cold-hearted, and hardly what Id call pro-life.
Im so sorry for the agony expressed here. People can be so heartless! And NOT ONE of those so-called pro-lifers has ever stepped up to offer help, shelter, support, babysitting, or co-parenting assistance. If you so forcefully and vociferously demand that it be born, what are you willing to do to help that mother?
Both my pregnancies were difficult after the first trimester. I had to be induced both times because my doctor viewed them as a growing threat to my health, if not to my very life.
Pregnancy is NO walk in the park - under ANY circumstances. Even under the best of circumstances.
She's a class act. Smart, dedicated, experienced, a true leader.
Just what Id like to see in a Governor!
