This seems like a classic case of "be careful what you wish for, because you might get it."

I suspect they all thought - "Oh Boy! We own it all! Let's GET IT ON!!!!!" Not realizing the pitfalls ahead.

The low-hanging fruit is often what gets the prison sentence.

Or maybe, to head that off, a plea deal - cough up the dirt and you get immunity from prosecution.

But in his case, he may have figured that he might be able to walk away from going to jail by cooperating with investigators, but when he's out among 'em and unprotected, he knows what can happen to him. Like that "special" spiked tea, perhaps? He may just assume prison would keep him safe, but you never know about that, either.

I would bet, though, that he IS weighing his options at this point. And I think the swagger we've seen lately is an attempt at a bluff to throw critics off his case. Talk tough enough, or sound sure enough, and maybe they'll just drop it?

April Ryan seems to be acquitting herself better now than during bush/cheney.

My problem with her remains - from the news conference dubya held as the Iraq War was starting up. She asked the single most LAME question I've ever heard by ANY reporter, ANYWHERE, particularly in view of the breakout of hostilities.

"Mr. President, how does your faith serve you?"

I heard that and almost fell on my ass. My jaw certainly went crashing down to the floor.

"How does your FAITH SERVE YOU?????" W.T.F.F. (What The F*cking F*ck???)????

I've never been able to look at her the same way since.

That fucker James O'Keefe and friends working with his phony-ass "Project Veritas" organization tried to pull a sting on them. They're the same ones who tried to screw over Planned Parenthood. He's disguised himself as a pimp in order to record conversations secretly, without advising people they're being recorded, and then do some "creative editing" on the finished project to make his targets look bad. He's the same guy who was trying to incite something at a Hillary Clinton rally, disguised as a Hillary supporter (had a campaign t-shirt on). By that time, though, he'd stuck his neck out enough times that somebody recognized him, and posted photos about it.

When you do that shit in public to scam people, pretty soon your face and identity become known. Much harder to do the stealth thing, sneaking around and screwing people, when you're starting to be recognized.
