This guy has been an irritant for awhile. SO THRILLED that Tamron finally had enough.

He's as smug as ann romney! Tamron is way behind the rest of us, though, I'll tell ya! But I'm glad she nailed his ass - he's had it coming for a LONG time.

And andrea's in a difficult spot. She doesn't want to dare screw around with the exclusive Georgetown cocktail party circuit to which she and her bigshot husband alan greenspan have access.

Um - ignoring them is what John Kerry did as soon as the swiftboaters started in on him.

How'd that work out for everybody?

Unfortunately, ignoring them gives them free reign, implies that they're correct ("well, the other side isn't saying anything - not fighting back - must be true, then, 'eh?&quot , and lets them have the stage - unfettered, unchecked, and unrestrained!

Unfortunately we HAVE to make a stink about it. We can't afford to let these people slither around doing this shit - with no consequence, no flack, no noise drawing attention to their awful awful crap! It has to be responded to and questioned LOUDLY. Otherwise it will continue, under the radar, until it's metastasized like a cancer.

"Ignore it" - your dermatologist wouldn't advise that if you came in with a mole on your shoulder that looked a little fishy.

"Ignore it" - your dentist wouldn't advise that if you had this little twinge of tooth pain.

"Ignore it" - your doctor wouldn't advise that if you called about this funny feeling in your stomach.

No, you have to hit shit like this head-on - with the biggest neon-painted sledge-hammer you can lift!!!!

All those beautiful young people. Just SHATTERING.

I don't often use the f-word here, either, but

FUCK YOU shitt romney!!!!!!

Just FUCK YOU! THIS is your legacy. Hope you're proud. Hope you got a good ol' laugh out of it at that poor blond kid's expense. Hope it made you feel like a B.M.O.C. Actually more like just a plain common, rancid B.M. You sure as hell would have remembered every detail if this had been done to you by some rich, arrogant, pampered and prejudiced pantywaist. Rat-Bastard! What a beastly thing to do. Others in your little crowd of fellow-assholes came around to feeling remorse about it. No such thing from you, 'eh? Figures. You probably don't even think it was that big a deal. Makes me wonder how many of these episodes there were.

Fucking BASTARD.

I especially appreciate your last paragraph!

I've heard a belly-full from all these sanctimonious holier-than-thou's out there - and NOT ONCE have I heard any of them quote the Beatitudes. Which is the bedrock of Christianity, according to That Guy after whom Christianity was named.

Good post! I'm so proud of my President today!

Those perfectionists who sneer that he didn't keep his promises, that he doesn't stand for much, that he's too cautious, that he doesn't have the backbone to take a stand -

ALL proven WRONG today. It took backbone and balls the size of the Empire State Building to stick his neck out like this, in this ridiculously toxic climate, and during election season when the risk factor is turned up PAST eleven.

It took courage like nobody's business. And I'm very proud of him. He IS on the side of history. And those who oppose him on this (as well as on other issues) will be taking their places in history's dustbin. Where they belong!!!!!

Long enough? Hell, that was a hiccup compared to some of my ramblings!!!

Nobody even needs to scroll down with your post! It's all there, short and succinct.

And it deserves its own thread, too! The best part is your last line: "we can't rest." And we CAN'T! We can't afford to! Always remember what Mad-Eye Moody warned Harry Potter: "CONSTANT Vigilance!!!!!!" And "you've got to KNOW!"

He'll hire on with one of the networks or cable outlets as a talking head.

And "write a book," and go on a book tour, blah-blah-blah...

We all know how that game is played. He'll be busy burnishing his own little place in Senate history, and the marketability of his name and "brand." 'Cause he's probably going to be thinking he'll have earned his place on the gravy train into a nice comfy retirement.

This is critical to win for us. This will make an example of him, and we can ride it

all the way to November. We need this as a firewall - to shove into republi-CONs' faces that - BEWARE: you try to pull this shit on the people you're supposed to serve, and you won't last long. The GOP all across the country, especially those in the statehouses, needs to be taught this lesson BUT GOOD. All we can hope for, as long as they remain in positions of power, is a chilling effect when they see this happening to one of their own, AND that we can help enough Dems win enough seats to keep these assholes thoroughly corralled and checked, and their lame ideas thwarted and reversed.

I can't imagine what it's like to be in her shoes at this moment.

What could be more horrible to have to endure, hearing all this about your own dad. Having already endured the rigors of a presidential campaign, JUST ANYWAY, without all the other messy stuff the Edwards family had to deal with. The mom suffering from cancer in a long and exhausting battle, and then finally killed by it - imagine what a toll THAT took on her kids, no matter their age. And then this.

Amazed the poise she's shown up til now. That's a crushing load to have to carry on your still-young shoulders.

She is truly stunning.

Elegant, but not aloof. Classy but approachable. Cool, and hot. Proud she's my First Lady. She's a great role model and representative to the world on behalf of American women.

About calimary

Female. Retired. Wife-Mom-Grandma. Approx. 30 years in broadcasting, at least 20 of those in news biz. Taurus. Loves chocolate - preferably without nuts or cocoanut. Animal lover. Rock-hound from pre-school age. Proud Democrat for life. Ardent environmentalist and pro-choicer. Hoping to use my skills set for the greater good. Still married to the same guy for 40+ years. Probably because he's a proud Democrat, too. Penmanship absolutely stinks, so I'm glad I'm a fast typist! I will always love Hillary and she will always be my President.
