Three.
My sentiments exactly.
She only had that hate-rag taken down after NINE innocent people of faith were gunned down by a young white racist - in their church. She was, indeed, shamed into doing it.
I watched that whole day. I watched that whole sad business go down. Cried for days. And the entire time I could not help but notice she wore "LOOK AT ME!!!!!!" outfits. Every time she was on camera. Whether it was immediately after the crime itself, and in subsequent appearances including the big wide crowd shots on the day that damn "flag" was removed. A bright color that set her off in a sea of men in dark business suits. One time she wore a blinding white suit - against that human backdrop. You literally could not miss her. You could spot her in that crowd from 30,000 feet. Gee, girlie, need some ATTENTION??????
She seems to have a whole closet full of "LOOK AT ME-ME-ME-ME-ME" clothes. I bet she'd wear neon yellow to a funeral.
And aside from that, she's a republi-CON. So that's enough for me.
I do think she has lots of ambition, and probably relished the invitation to be UN Ambassador because she sees it as a stepping stone to the Presidency. Her own.
Is anyone really surprised that trump & comp have earned the enmity of the IC?
When they go to such great pains as this - to devise sneaky-ass "back channels" circumventing established intel organizations and operatives (many of whom put their lives on the line to collect intelligence for our country)?
I see shit like this and I am NOT ONE BIT surprised that the intel community is severely pissed at this jerk.
Reuters says no.
http://www.reuters.com/article/us-usa-trump-russia-idUSKBN18Q2CIThe U.S. House Intelligence Committee has not issued a subpoena to President Donald Trump's personal lawyer, Michael Cohen, as part of its probe into possible Russian election meddling and ties to the Trump campaign, people familiar with the investigation told Reuters on Tuesday.
The Associated Press, citing an unidentified congressional aide, reported earlier on Tuesday that a subpoena had been issued.
Cohen told ABC News he had been asked to provide information and testimony to investigators in the House and Senate, but had declined the request because it was "poorly phrased, overly broad and not capable of being answered."
(Reporting by Doina Chiacu and Mark Hosenball; editing by Cynthia Osterman and Jonathan Oatis)
HOWEVER, things DO INDEED seem to be moving at a brisk pace.
And while I'm no lawyer or legal whiz kid, seems to me that his refusal to cooperate with investigators' requests might not be viewed kindly, or allowed to stand.
It's not unreasonable to expect that the AP story might eventually be confirmed.
Welcome to DU, Maggiemayhem!
I remember watching that. It was utterly humiliating. Made me wonder if he was drunk at the time, or just brain-rotted from so much drinking in the past.
Almost felt sorry for the guy, which, for me is saying a lot. Meanwhile, his unfortunately minder (I mean, wife, Laura) and First Lady Michelle Obama were trying very hard to contain him while being tremendously discreet and as subtle as possible. After all, this was front-row public televised stuff.
Just freakin' embarrassing.
His district has been targeted BIGTIME.
Flip SoCal Left, Indivisible here in West L.A., Code Blue, and our Congressman, Ted Lieu, with his own district-flipping campaign.
Darrell has lost his swagger. Indeed he did barely hang on, by a hair, last November, and he knows his neck is on the chopping block. He's been attempting to "sound" more reasonable, accepting of such ideas as an independent prosecutor, trying in his own weasel way to "rehabilitate" himself against a rising tide against him.
Both Issa AND Steve Knight up in northern L.A. county are targeted - BIGTIME. And they know it. And they're nervous. The wind is at Democrats' backs this time.
Oh THAT jerk. Michael "Says WHO?" Cohen.
Like some goon who "takes care of" the troublesome underling in the "Godfather" movies.
I watched him spend an entire interview segment "responding" to each question with an arrogant, bullying, in-yer-face "Says WHO?"
"Says WHO?"
"Says WHO?"
"Says WHO?"
The takeaway from that was - "Dear God what an ASS!!!!" And "who the hell does he think he is? Some small-time goon from the South Bronx forcibly collecting protection money around the neighborhood?"
I hope they throw the book at him.
What an ICKY guy.
At the rate this jackass is going, we won't have a friend left in the world.
Except of course for dear Vladimir.
And anyone who thinks HE'S a "friend" is so far out to lunch that they can't even recognize a restaurant when they see one.
