I’m starting to think he’s the most naive and proudly ignorant adult walking the face of the Earth. He’s fixated on everybody being nice and getting g along in the Senate, and he has absolutely ZERO idea of the kind of weasels and jackals he’s actually dealing with.
He thinks they want to play fair. Boy is he smokin’ something.
Nothing wrong with considering things like this now.
And NOT, as you so aptly put it, when the “barbarians are at the gate.”
More and more, I find myself thinking “what would the CONS do in a case like this?”
Maybe we need to start thinking like a republi-CON. They are as devious as can be, they are sneaky and slippery and, dammit, they make it work! And look how much they get away with! Why aren’t WE thinking and manipulating and maneuvering like THEY do? Because they gain ground. And we lose. And they keep gaining ground. And they keep playing hardball and sneaky ball and all kinds of slippery shit, and they succeed! And they play us for absolute fools.
And I’m frankly sick and tired of that!
Works for me! Because FUCK 'EM! THAT'S WHY!!!

If they felt it was fitting when it came to imprisoning children after having separated them from their parents, then why wouldn't it be the operating policy elsewhere in their sphere of influence, also?
By now, I've come to expect the worst of this bunch - from trump all the way down through the fetid bowels of the republi-CON party.
