the most basic right for Americans who happen to be female - the right to vote.
I myself heard, with my own ears, talk on the limbaugh radio show years ago when he was in his heyday period, laments about women voting. One man's voice, in particular, stood out: "I think this country started going downhill when women got the right to vote."
They're OUT THERE. They exist. This is REAL. And they'll take that right away if they think they have any sort of shot at it. This bullshit is REAL. And some of the fundamentals behind it have already gained ground as we speak, particularly in THIS grim new era of trump. These forces have really gained a major vitamin booster shot with the trump incursion.
And we can't afford to drop our guard for even a nanosecond. Keep in mind: that's exactly what they most dearly hope for - that we roll over and go back to sleep after we THINK we made some "permanent" gains.

That's pretty ridiculous - that they'd say something isn't news when its very NAME includes the word "news," their very presentation suggests "news," and unlike spoof constructs like The Daily Show and other such programs that are CLEARLY amusement and satire, they carry on like they're legit, all the way down to the graphics and mic flags. And they had White House press credentials. If I were president, that's one thing I'd yank away.

Gotta say - I'll be one of those here who agrees with you, with bells on and sirens blowing - about the utter folly of voting third party. All that does is hand the election to the GOP. You're sending a message alright. But it's guaranteed to be the one that gets you the response of "thanks, CHUMP!" from the bad guys you inadvertently helped across the finish line. That's how our system is, no matter who wants to argue how earnestly about it. That's just what IS. Like it or not, we're a two-party system. PERIOD. And yeah, there are many who don't like that. But it also means there are just as many who are eager to cut their noses off to spite their faces. And please somebody tell me, how well does THAT ever work out? Rebels, renegades, and other third-party outworlders just wind up being spoilers. Plain 'n' simple. Sorry, but that's the fact. As we've seen. All too painfully.
I, too, did NOT hold my nose to vote for Hillary. I couldn't wait to vote for Hillary!!! It was something I'd been waiting to do ever since I started learning about her - and just resonating with the woman like nobody's business. NEVER encountered any political person, male or female, with whom I connected at such a deeply profound level as I did with Hillary - and long before she ever became a formalized politician in her own right. She's the candidate I realized I was waiting all my life to vote for. She's my president, too. The Orange Shartmaster will NEVER be anything even close to that. And I don't vote for ANYBODY but "D's." NEVER an "R." 'Cause I don't believe in lurching our nation into Reverse.

I was looking at those tweets in the OP and thinking - "oh pleeeeeeze! Make it so! Make it so!" That's one of my favorite quotes from Captain Jean-Luc Picard - "make it so." I find myself saying that a lot as I read about the consequences of this continuing cavalcade of trump follies.

I often find myself smirking about all those people who fell for the lies and character assassination of Hillary Clinton. Have they yet faced the fact that a lot of that crap they swallowed whole about her was yet another famous Russian invention? Hey, deplorables - how does it feel to have gotten ROLLED by the Russians? You fell for it face-first. You swallowed it without even bothering to chew. You were nothing but a Russian stooge. A mark.
