Such a shitty news day. I welcome ANYTHING that looks soft, soothing, gentle, and smile-worthy. Besides, if I had to wear a fur coat all day, in the tropics, I'd want to be precisely where that dog is!
Yep. It was one of the first things the new President Obama did.
He passed the "Dover test." As in - going to Dover AFB when the flag-draped coffins of the latest war dead returned to American soil. To greet them as their Commander-in-Chief, and show a visible thank-you with his solemn presence, for their service and their ultimate sacrifice. chickenhawk bushie boy couldn't be seen doing this. GOD FORBID! Might actually remind America that our precious young ones were being fed into the bush/cheney/blackwater/halliburton meat grinder over there. They didn't want to trouble our "beautiful minds" about that icky stuff. What you don't know won't hurt us, America, you gullible chumps! Outta sight, outta mind, dontchaknow.
Especially when there were agents on scene who spoke of gunfire, and
hell, a couple of them there in an unmarked car said they could SMELL gunpowder forcryingoutloud, and yet somebody above them said - "no, it was cars backfiring from a nearby construction site." WHY was that suppressed? WHY was that not investigated? A housekeeper had to find it before the Secret Service - um, pardon me, I misidentified them - the SHITTY Service finally decided to acknowledge the facts of it?????
The leadership THEN - should NO LONGER be allowed to continue to be leadership NOW. The leadership THEN is what FUCKED UP. Heads should roll.
But with her track record, I wouldn't want her in a supervisory position of any sort
anymore. Especially when she falls back on monotonous "mistakes were made" nothingness. THOSE THREE WORDS tell me plenty - just another bureaucrat more concerned about reputations (hers and the unforgivably lazy ineptitude manifested at multiple levels beneath her).

Often, it's in my car. Just as often, while I'm outside walking our dog. Just passing by some of the most beautiful floral fragrances on earth, the loveliest trees, the most remarkable gardens, twittering birds and singing crickets at night (in the night-blooming jasmine). I find I somehow feel closer to God when I'm doing that (or out in nature in any way), than when I'm inside some church building and slogging through all the hierarchically-dictated worship formulas.
Well, it isn't Ebola that makes me want to do THAT...
Frankly, the one thing about this that worries me (other than the usual, of course) is that this is now a talking point. The assholes on the other side can point to this and say - "SEE!?!?!??!?? Texas!!!! It came OVER THE BORDER with those damned illegal aliens!!!! JUST LIKE WE SAID!!!!!" And even though, when you read past the screaming headlines - and you see this was an individual who flew in from West Africa and had nothing to do with the immigrant crossings at the Texas/Mexico border - the idiots who believe only what Pox Noise and the liar-limbaugh&co clones tell them will swallow this whole. Without even chewing. It's liable to feed the idiocy faster than anybody can stop it - OR Ebola.
And, unfortunately, someone armed with only a knife can be horrifyingly lethal
as we have seen with the beheadings overseas.
I don't understand how security wasn't doubled - OR tripled or quadrupled - for this President, considering how threats against THIS President's life have increased by 400%, since he moved into the White House. And that fact was clear VERY early in his first term. They somehow didn't realize this??????
