God, I remember how hard it was for us when I went on maternity leave from the AP. We were only covered for six weeks after I stopped working. Although I could stay out comparatively long, there was NO coverage after that six weeks. We had to buy in with the Cobra program. It was almost three times as expensive! It was cripplingly expensive. Excruciatingly expensive! I had a good job that was held for me and we made it. Barely. And we were among the lucky ones. But MAN it was rough.
