calimary's JournalI wonder if sometimes it's a case where an elder decides to commit a crime and go to prison -
because that's the only way to be sure of a roof over their heads, regular meals - such as they are, and at least minimal health care. I read a news story about that once. Little old elderly dude robbed a bank at gunpoint, then sat down quietly to wait for the police. He'd decided that was the only way to be sure of even nominally being looked after in his sunset years, because otherwise he was destitute.

I LOVE our Governor Moonbeam. I'm so glad he became governor again. It was good, and effective, the last time, too. A true man of the people. Especially after King ronnie and Queen nancy left Sacramento (unfortunately, for bigger things).
Governor Brown ROCKS. And I love it when he shows some pipsqueak snot-nosed breitbart-wannabe a thing or two.
It IS treason, especially to try to obstruct our Commander-in-Chief during wartime.
And we ARE at war. We still have troops in foreign lands, on active duty, getting shot at.
I wish somebody on our side would start slamming the GOP for that. For disloyalty and treasonous activities, giving aid and comfort to the enemy. We need to start using the "T" word. TREASON. We need that out on the table. We need that out in public. We need that out there from some of the talking heads. We need that in the media, dropped in on talk radio, blogged, Facebooked, and Twittered. We need that to get out there - in the public discourse.
We need to start playing REAL hardball.
Oh yeah. That's what I certainly want sitting across the table from Vladimir Putin.
Oh yeah. That's what I want sitting across the table from the Iranians, or the Turks or the fill-in-the-blank-here's. Oh yeah. That'd be great. 
Just what I want! A nice big blustering, aggressive, belligerent, in-yer-face, pugnacious, hot-headed, I-dare-ya-to-knock-this-planet-sized-chip-off-my-shoulder asshole BULLY.
ICK. And I also say ICK to all those people around him when he told that guy to sit down and shut up - who applauded and said "YEAH!!!" What kind of assholes are THEY? They like this shit? They approve of this disgusting behavior? Bunch of Neanderthals, I guess. No wonder they cheer for that and vote republi-CON.
They're the same kind of vermin who also said "YEAH!" and cheered when a debate moderator at one of the clown shows during the 2012 presidential campaign asked "well, what are we supposed to do? Let 'em die?"
They're the same kind of vermin who boo'd when that soldier live from the theater of a live shooting war in Iraq asked a question and said he was gay.
They're the same kind of vermin who cheered and applauded governor oops when he stood there proudly and boasted about all the executions of which he presided while governor of Texas.
They're human vermin. And I guess they like that sort of thing.
But I sure DON'T! If he's auditioning for MY vote, then HE can go sit down and shut up.

I think the ISIS people are cowards, too. And that jerk who shot the soldier and terrorized people up in Canada. Notice how they feel they must cover their faces? Yeah? Pretty chickenshit if you ask me. If they're so brave 'n' bold and rough 'n' tuff, then let them show their faces. Otherwise, they're yellow as little garden lemons.

Glad you're here! I hadn't thought of that, but you're correct! I'm sure people all over that part of the country were terrified about letting their kids out - ANYWHERE, for any reason, while that asshole remained at large.
