Such a welcome difference. A genuinely good and kind and thoughtful man

is on the way to the White House.

The lens through which he views everything is ANYTHING BUT self-centered. So is the manner in which he responds. I've never seen a "Comforter-in-Chief" as deeply empathetic as Biden is. And it's raw and honest. He's certainly not perfect. But he's deeply human and compassionate. And he'll bring that kind of attitude with him into the Oval Office. THAT'S why I'm enthusiastic about Joe Biden. I'm enthusiastic about the man. And the quality of his character. Forged by his own losses and pains and stumbles, so you know way down inside that when he says he cares, he really does care. And so far he seems to wear his heart right out on his sleeve.

And for me, that's okay. Hell, it's not merely okay, it's FABULOUS!!! I feel like I've been wandering, starving and cold, for four years. But finally I see what looks like a shelter ahead, with the light on and a welcome sign in view.

Biden's no con man. He's genuine. Human, fallible, imperfect, and aware of it. And he's accepted it, as he's shouldered the profound grief in his past. He doesn't try to pretend he's something he's not. As far as I can recall, anyway, he never has.

And the more I think on this stuff, with this particular gent about to step up, take center stage, and run the joint, the more I'm liking it, and him. Can't wait til that mindset of his is seated behind the Resolute Desk. I'm SO tickled to be getting this current despicable shit OVER WITH!!!

Quite sincerely I feel like help really is on the way.
